Correct. Rob writes great stuff but doesn’t pay enough attention to detail.

Wtf? You tease the story she tells, but chicken out repeating it? Seriously WTF

Anyone who kept watching after Glen died is an idiot. This show has been garbage for years.

“Imagine if she’d joined the Army? It was segregated until 1948.”

The fact that a bit of hyperbole, said to a ref while trying to illustrate the size difference between two players, has been made into a scandal gives another reason for people to think the WNBA is a joke.

How did they bill customers before computers?

This post paints a really bad picture without full understanding of how IT infrastructure works. When the good folks down in IT see an activity spike and files start becoming encrypted, they shut everything off in order to isolate the threat. It’s kind of like closing fire doors. Unfortunately this sometimes means

The live shows tend to be really funny because they *have* to pace their riffs or else the audience can’t hear anything above laughs. It forces a discipline that the show doesn’t have to maintain.

I thought the Mac & Me episode was pretty solid, but I do agree with the critique that they could stand to slow down on the jokes overall.

I really wonder if there’s still bad blood between Joel and the other original cast members. I might have missed it but I didn’t see any of them plugging the kickstarter on twitter or anything.

I love MST3K and eagerly backed the last Kickstarter.

... and could not bring myself to back this. One is financial: I’m not as employed as I was the last time. Second is finding the concept kinda... skeevy is too strong a word, but I already object to the increasing number of streaming services gating more and more

So is this show still good? I remember watching the show religiously for the first 2 or 3 seasons, because I really liked it, and then the show kind of lost its X-factor. The first few seasons had a lot of heart and charm, and it felt like everybody was having a ton of fun making the show. The last time I watched an

Joel and Mike did meet on camera back in the Sci-Fi era, so that’s been done.

I wanted to like the new seasons, but the jokes were just way too rapid fire to really appreciate them.

I’ve really loved MST3K through all it’s versions, I’ve done the VIP live thing many times, but when Joel went on his farewell tour (and it was brilliant), I kinda think I put MST3K away in my memory box. I loved it, but I’m not sure I need any more. Also not having Kinga even on video during the farewell tour seemed

Hard disagree. Rifftrax is excellent, but I very much miss the host skits.  The biggest problem modern MST3K has, however, is a severe lack of Kevin Murphy and his golden singing voice.

Dear DC,

I’m sure you guys know a lot about privacy with the amount of crap popping up in my feeds and adverts on Gizmodo. It’s one of the worst ad revenue generated sites out there. Authors here continue to paint Google as this diabolical company but then are also relying on them so their company continues to generate money

Mike Nelson was a writer for MST3K from near the beginning. That’s why Rifftrax is so good.

I’m absolutely amazed no one has shown any love for RiffTrax in this discussion. Although you do not have the same outlandish sets of being “trapped” in space, the jokes of RiffTrax are way more on par with the original series and retain Mike, Bill, and Kevin (the original cast) making it a worthy successor to
