Oh man, I’m also 8 months pregnant and ugh, I’m so done. I still exercise (meaning, waddling on the treadmill for a couple of 22 minute miles) almost every day, mostly because my daughter’s labor was really, really long and I think regular exercise helped me get through it, and because I start to feel crazy if I don’t…
YES! It’s the best. I’ve been using a drugstore brand because I couldn’t justify the cost last time I ran out of Donna Karan, and it’s so not the same.

Absolutely. I’m always so surprised how many people offer to help when I’m traveling alone with my baby, or entertain her, or just say something generous. Those little kindnesses really help bring down my blood pressure.
It’s soooo much easier with a partner. Good luck!
Plenty of people have family overseas, or across the country. My husband gets very very little vacation time and our family lives thousands miles away. Driving isn’t an option, especially in emergency situations.
I think it is so sooooo much harder as a parent (unless you’re one of the many commenters above who apparently can’t exist in the space as children, period). My toddler has generally been very well-behaved on planes, but the experience is incredibly stressful for me. Like you, I’ve mostly encountered kind, encouraging…
Your comment isn't gray, and it's one of the top comments. It was a shitty thing to post, especially on an unrelated post.
My kids are totally screwed because we gave them long, crazy last names and they will be easy to find. Hopefully they’ll be much more internet savvy than I was in the mid-1990s.
On the plus side, you are probably impossible to find on google. I am the only one of me, and you can easily find dumb stuff I signed my name to on the burgeoning internet like 18 years ago.
My first baby was born in the winter, so I just gave up shaving at some point. This summer baby is making it harder, though I've also hit my point of not caring. Too hard to bend.
I’m pregnant now and am very grateful for maxi dresses. Bonus— don’t have to shave my legs!
Yep, I clicked the link and the dress was size 26.
This thread is making me resolve that my kids are going to attend every birthday party they’re invited to. I hate what happened to your son.
The statistics I found said that 6% of breastfeeding women not using contraception will become pregnant 6 months after birth. I’m not arguing that this never happens- I’m disagreeing with your point that this is a “big” cause of these pregnancies.
Do you have an actual citation or just anecdote? I’m not discouraging learning, and I'm not sure why you think I am. I feel very passionately about sexual education, but as someone who opted to have their children close together I think there are more factors here. I'd be very interested to read any information you…
Sure, but I don’t think it’s fair to just attribute these close pregnancies to idiots who don’t understand breastfeeding and fertility.
Most women in the U.S. aren’t still breastfeeding after 6 months.
That's exactly why I'm pregnant right now, and why my kids will be 18 months apart.
That book is excellent!
