Got something in the works there, too. Stay tuned. New day around here.

especially with China owning more or less a gigantic chunk of US currency

Here you go, my friend. Exactly the car you were looking for. A Volvo V70 R. Granted, you’ll have to come all the way to Massachusetts to buy it because I couldn’t find one for sale anywhere else in the country, but still. It’s perfect for you.

Same story except I’m now 28 and 2 years into ownership. S60R. Fun (stick), fast (300hp/300tq), medium maintenance costs (admittedly), and AWD. I was shoppping for something nicer and newer, but I keep coming back to my car and loving it more and more. It’s like a WRX STI in a tux!

Those are different nameplates but they are all roughly the same thing (FWD box all using the same engines). If you want an example of a well engineered mix, look at Flat Rock - building RWD V8 Mustangs right alongside FWD V6 Lincoln Continentals.

“I see no end to this party!”

I live in metro Detroit, so car or boat for me. Have already made deal with Canadian colleague that I can live in my camper in his backyard if things get worse

It’s not short-sighted.

For goodness sake, what do you think lightweight plastics, like those used in EVs and all sorts of other stuff, are made of? Oil.

We’re not going to get away from oil usage. We need to just accept it and work on improving efficiency, not just “replacing” it.

Agree 100%. Trump clearly got a large percent of the undecided voter. People did not even want to admit they voted for trump, demonstrated by the exit polling.

Uh, cars aren’t exactly a long term purchase.

Agreed, it is highly likely not to stay low forever. However, people have been claiming the sky is falling for the last 3 years with no actual large raise in gas prices. With vehicle ownership averaging 5 years, you can hedge your bets on the short term.

I agree, but its weight relative to other bikes with its capabilities is low. In my travels, on highway, I was jealous of the guy on the Bimmer, but not nearly as jealous as the guy on the CRF. When we were offroad, the Bimmer and I were jealous of the CRF, but the Bimmer was way more jealous than I was. I think it

Well there was this one time with a flashing warning that said “danger to manifold” and then the floor fell out.

Username checks out.

The only thing that would have made my V60 better is a third pedal...I really miss the manual of my Speed3 - even if 1st gear was, effectively, useless. The FWD on snow tires in Chicago winters was a lot of fun to drive...smiling widely as I passed SUVs stuck on the side of the road.

I’ve found that the tires on the

Well, this device is not for those with excessive camber because they only go about 20-30 MPH. I mean c’mon, any faster they may hit a tiny bump and crash. So really, police just have to follow these cars long enough until something breaks on them or the driver ends up crashing.

That Mercury Sable they used it on was FWD.

Or Miatas because they’re FWD

Reading comprehension FTW.
