My exact process as well.

....I now just use my jack just to get the car up long enough to throw jack stand under it, to get the new tire on and then jack it up remove the jack stand and then lower the jack.

I had a cheap Craftsman jack fail before I could put a jack stand under the car. 3,500 pounds of Mustang came crashing to the floor, ripping the side skirt of in the process. Scared the everloving snot out of me.

Not to sound mean, but holy shit is that guy stupid. I have seen the metal on scissor jacks fold under pressure. This is why having jackstands (the more the merrier) under the car is so important. I have even experienced my racing jack pressure fail due to a worn O-ring in the hydraulic pump. I would have been…

The Spec B offered the extra solid 6 Speed transmission and axles which were only available on the STI at the time.
