This won't be sold in North America. Because the market for a $60,000, manual-transmission Golf just isn't there. Even if it has 400HP. I guarantee it.

Yeah. Not seeing it. There are regular Golf R's sitting on lots getting big discounts (at least from what I hear). This thing would have to be north of $40k. No one is buying a $40k+ Golf in this country.

Come on, we all know its not coming stateside.

As a three-time VW owner, two of them being GTi, and a 2002 GTi 337 in my driveway right now, this would be my next car... if it comes to the US. However, I'm not holding my breath. Yes, they'd be insane not to, but that hasn't stopped them from bringing amazing cars to the US before, unfortunately.

Who wants to bet the pilot was listening to SAIL?

He's just mad that it was two women driving.

Given Lego and Porsche prices nowadays if this does go on sale it will probably be like 50 grand...and then another 10 grand if you actually want the Martini livery.

My family owns one of these. It's the 4cyl, FWD with a 5 speed. God do I hate it. Drives like shit, shifts like shit, loud as shit. Amazingly, it sounds alright..

The Saturn Vue, the cheap family mini-suv, our neighbor actually has one of these with a manual. Its not often you see whats essentially a kid friendly indestructible minivan with a stick. It has over 300,000km on it now and its still on the stock clutch

Why is everyone knocking this guys filming..Who Cares. He clearly saw it more important to help people and warn incoming cars to slow down then film them crashing.. Seems like a good dude

There's absolutely no way they could mistake real g forces for a simulation.
I'm calling fake. Cool, but fake.

No. Because the Ford GT is one of the most gorgeous things ever to ride on 4 wheels. Every time I see one, I am shocked senseless by the raw beauty and majesty of it. "Because Racecar" does not even begin to do that car justice. Someone near me has a red one and every time I see it, I feel as though it is worth

Dude, its not about what it compares to. Its about "will I pay 125K in volume for a fucking Dodge', and the answer is no.

Realistically, Vipers should not cost 125K. Like, single piece carbon fiber hood? 15K for the hood? NO. Make it out of fiberglass. Make it cheaper. Keep the engine. Reduce the profit margin. Sell me one for 60 something.

Impressive and all (as always from the SEALs) but why are we involved in this?

Pshh. Poser. If you were really into lost causes you'd be supporting Reunite Pangea, or campaign finance reform.

I've got it. 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix Sedan with something obstructing or replacing the rear window in the rear door. Everything matches down to the surviving hubcap.

Awesome factual reporting.

for the very first time, i'd probably side with europe in this fight.
