It is! Yeah, and the Tacoma and Colorado/Canyon single cabs just barely come in under 4k lbs. Actually it looks like the Nissan Frontier comes in around 3700 lbs starting. But the Frontier is like the most outdated truck out of all of them. So even if it’s a few hundred lbs lighter, I don’t think that alone would sway

I don’t blame you. I wouldn’t pay what they cost new. It’s outrageous. I was looking at lightly used/low milesage Flex Ecoboosts for a quick minute when I was looking to buy a wagon to replace my WRX 5dr and even a low mileage Flex Ecoboost was still in the upper $30k to low to mid 40k range. Found a couple candidates

It’s true. I don’t like driving anything over 4klbs. Ends up being too heavy for my liking no matter how much power it has. Sadly the options of cars staying under 4k lbs is getting slimmer unless you stick with sub compact cars. Even mid size cars are getting and starting to crest the 4klbs mark. Sucks.

That’s the thing I like the least about the Taurus SHO. It’s very heavy. Still a good bargain.

I would get the Flex Ecoboost over the Taurus SHO just to have a more versatile vehicle, but the incentives on the Flex are no where near as great as they are on the SHO right now. A new SHO is considerably cheaper than the Flex Ecoboost.

I have a lot of friends who work for the big three and for suppliers living in South East Michigan so I do get to hear a lot “unofficial” information. The information I’m getting on the C8 comes from some good sources.

For example, I found out when the C8 went from front engine to mid engine months before any online

There’s been very little information that I have even found online talking about the new 60 series. I’ve heard more about the new 40 series both here on Jalopnik and on other car news sites.

But it makes sense that they’d update their other models first since the current 60 series was the newest platform they had

If you’re willing to pay the extra $$ for a much nicer car then yes. I sold my ‘11 Subaru WRX 5dr and bought a used (one year old) low mileage V60 T6 R-Design. I only paid $5k more on the used V60 than I paid for my new WRX five years go.

Now I wouldn’t have paid the $46k sticker price on the V60 compared to the $28k

It’s actually the manufacturers that pressure the dealers to not allow citizens of neighboring countries to buy vehicles across borders if there are no other barriers like gov regulations (crash safety rating, trade barriers) or emissions requirements. The manufacturers themselves don’t want a Canadian citizen for

I hope the re-designed S/V60 comes out soon!

Right. Unless someone from the Corvette Team chimes in, the only thing that’s known is that GM is developing a mid engined vehicle. Whether it’s going to be a “Corvette” or not is still to be determined. However it is widely known that the drivetrain layout of the C8 switched from front engine to mid engine early in

The C7 is only supposed to be around for a few more years. Its production run was recently extended so that there wouldn’t be any gaps in Corvette production between the C7 and C8. Which coincides with the rumors of both the C7 and C8 being sold along side each other. For how long is unknown.

Keep in mind that the C7

I heard from a source at GM that the C7 will be extended until like 2020. And that the C7 will sell along the C8 for a couple model years, but the C8 mid engine Corvette will cost more. Pricing still hasn’t been anounced or leaked as far as I know but it will cost more than the C7. Unfortunately from what I’ve been

Because all that we’ve known up until this point is that the Corvette is transitioning to be a mid engine car. There’s been rumors and leaked information indicating that there will be a couple years where both the C7 and C8 will be sold together, but apparently the C7 is going to be the last generation of the Corvette

I had an 01 that was reliable and trouble free until 103k miles even then it just needed a new water pump.

I had that exact model year Cavalier (but black) as my first car and it was surprisingly one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. Great for a first car because it was sporty enough, but slow enough to not be able to get into any trouble. Had enough features like a power sun roof/CD player for a young person to

I drive by this dealer every day. Highland Park is definitely a rough area. It’s also surrounded by Detroit. Despite this, I’m pretty surprised they hit the dealer when there’s generally a decent representation from the Highland Park police on Woodward Ave. Apparently not at 3am. In case you didn’t know this dealer is

I don’t know which lot is worse for auto cross driving. the parking lot of the Pontiac Silverdome or the parking lot of the former Automotive Components Holdings plant off of I-94 where they also used to host auto cross events.

Does every parking lot where an autocross event is held in Michigan have to be as bad or

It’s probably the 3.7L NA V6.

From my experience with owning a dual sport (Suzuki DRZ400S), it comes down to selecting the right tires. Or picking what surface you want better performance on and accepting that it won’t be as great on the other.

My DRZ400S is set up for off road. I have knobbies (Michelin Cross AC-10s on back and Kenda Track Master
