I just sold my 11 WRX 5dr after having owned it for the last five years. Great car, but God, that transmission sucked. It was probably the worst manual transmission in a car that I have ever owned. The old VF single scroll turbo also didn’t help when launching it below 3k RPMs.

Agreed. I was mid way through college when the 5th gen Camaro debuted and I lusted after it. But, I couldn’t afford it. Now I can afford a Camaro, but I’m married and have a kid on the way so I have no need for one. Basically to your point.

The Camaro (in general) is too expensive. You now have to “pony up” $40k for an SS. Pony cars are generally a person’s second car as they aren’t practical (which isn’t their primary function) to have as a daily driver especially in regions of the country that have four seasons.
