I think ST:SNW needs to remember that the Gorn are also an intelligent space faring species with a developed society, and not get too hung up on the Alien-meets-Jurasic-Park aspect.

Don’t the “Amazing” movies exist because Sony would have lost the Spider-man license otherwise? “We need to make a Spider-man movie, any Spider-man movie, or the license will default back to Marvel” doesn’t sound like the sorta conditions that produce a great film.

I remember liking the original film. I never thought it was great or anything, but I never watched the cartoon (other than Beast Wars), or played with the toys, so I had no emotional attachment to the franchise. It was a fine way to pass two hours. The CGI robots looked great.

I’d agree with one change. She specifically used the word dimension and not universe, I don’t think that’s an accident or a potato/potahto moment. Alternate Dimensions in the MCU are a different beast from the Multiverse - the multiverse did not exist until Sylvie killed He Who Remains, but we saw the Dark Dimension…
