Same. Other than that the score was magnificent.

That’s why I stopped counting at 29.
Or better. Fast and furious 11: Jurassic NoS
and then the dinosaurs get free and kill a bunch of people.
Colon cancer is rough, especially at his relatively young age. He was still 10 years younger than the recommended age to get a colonoscopy.
One thing I love in fiction is when criminals use fantastical technology to commit rather mundane crimes where the technology used would be much more valuable than whatever the crime would pay. Here they’re using a literal shrink ray to save like 10% in tariffs. Think how much a shrink ray could do for shipping and…
That’s actually a fantastic idea.
Fundamentally Trevorrow isn’t interested in the dinosaurs, let alone how they interact with people. He’s just not a dinosaur guy, and you need a dinosaur guy to write at least the basic plot of a Jurassic movie for it to be good. This is why we got dumb shit like the Indominus Rex (fucking talking to the raptors god…
Why is a Jurassic anything movie about saving the world? I hate saving the world, and now we have movies about people saving the universe and the multiverse as well. The original Jurassic Park was just about living and getting off the island. They weren’t even trying to take down the company.
If I had this IP, I would reboot it as more of a thriller in the vein of the original book, and it would be a prestige series (~50 min ep/10 ep season).
A little disappointed we have to wait until “winter” for s2 of Warrior Nun. It should be an improvement though based just on having Ava teamed up with the sisters from the beginning of the season, rather than all the wheel spinning with her & her Eurotrash friends at the beginning of last season.
Dark remains one of the best things Netflix has put out (if you haven’t yet, please stop reading and go watch it. In its original German at that). I’m very excited to see what its creators come up with for 1899; TBH I’m a bit disappointed io9 didn’t dedicate an article for the trailer - especially when shíte like…
You must not be into collecting, other Star Trek ship replicas have gone for sale up to $10,000, and I don't mean custom builds I’m talking officially licensed replicas
This film has the biggest missed opportunity of the entire franchise...
I feel like Umbrella is the petroleum company of zombie viruses.
I’m being contrary but I think First Contact was still the best Trek film , with WOK a very close second.
TMP actually starts off pretty strong! The Starfleet Headquarters stuff is fascinating, and the initial voyage is pretty entertaining. It’s when V’Ger takes over the crewmember that the film really crawls to a halt. (To say nothing of the Enterprise crawling over V’Ger for infinity minutes.)
I still think it has the best all-time Star Trek space battles (and there’s actually only two!), even if later films and TV installments exceeded it in the technical department. Director Nicholas Meyer really does a great job depicting them like submarines in space. I always feel like I have a sense of where the ships…
I’m not even sure Kinja can handle 1,000 slides in a single slideshow, but boy I bet you guys are gonna try it.
Did you just win some office bet for who could make the longest slideshow?
