God I hope this true.  Outside of the cable companies, it is hard to think of a company I would like to fail more than Harley.

Part of the reason I would buy the Lexus over the BMW is the reputation for rock solid reliability and reasonable maintenance.  Buying a brand that is known as less reliable than a BMW that also has less dealer support seems like a pretty crap plan.

To get that kind of love it needs to be a van or air cooled.
A Vanogan of the same era and quality could pull more than 20, but there is nowhere near that kind of love for their sedans.

I love amazing race cars as much as anybody and glorious streetable hypercars are amazing, but it is goddamn SUVs and crossovers that pay the bills.

This isn’t how it should be but this is where we are.  If selling SUVs keeps the lights on at Maserati then they need to sell SUVs.

This is part of the refocus for all the brands under the unified umbrellas

Chrysler- will focus on market beating minivans
Ram- Trucks with large infotainment systems
Alpha- fancy cars
Peugeot- cars and crossovers for the masses.

Watch the fucking dealers pull a Deadspin on this by having stupid markups that kill the sales numbers.
