At my house, we had a plumbing stoppage that I diagnosed to be somewhere between the street and the house. I called out the rooter guy and he snaked out a dozen or so tampons (they looked like sad little grey cotton mice) from whatever they were hung up on. Plumber guy said that in old houses sometimes the clay

I suspect that most drunk drivers know that the penalty for DUI Manslaughter is a pretty much life crushing event (and it should be) so they figure if they run they have a chance at beating the charges.
The Drunk knows stay and he is fucked, leave and maybe not.

Oh miss MURILEE I so miss having you on this site.

Yes but it was written by that Saucy Minx so it was worth another read.

Because of the success of MADD in many states the penalty for DUI + manslaughter is much higher than hit and run + manslaughter. This creates a perverse incentive for hit and run.

The reality isn't funny, which is the case for most things that comedies are made about. The exact shortcomings you speak of can make for fantastic movie drama over the course of 90 min. Ineffective and stupid sneaking around can be a good visual. Rumor control and spreading can provide compelling dialog. I

I have also thought it would be fun to put a ROM-Com in a socially claustrophobic space. Think about putting it in a submarine or an Antarctic research station. Have a budding romance in a place where everybody has no choice except to know everyone's business and the lack of privacy makes everything interesting.

Build the tank right, and it will contain a bunch of energy much lighter than batteries and less explosivly than Li Batteries.  I like it.

With news like this I feel better about paying a bit more for a house where I am more worried about my garden drying out in the middle of winter (damned Santa Anas) than dealing with snow.

Florida?

That is good to know. The vehicle has lots of other problems too, so I was not sorry to see it go.
I don't know why but I could not get a coolant resivour tank to last more than a year on that truck. It wasn't a matter of if it leaked, it was matter of how fast it leaked.

I had an 88 Cherokee that from time to time would apply enough fuel to jump to 3000 rpm and hold it for about 5 minutes, then it would go back to normal.  I couldn't get it to do it in front of a mechanic.  It did it to me once while coming down the Questa Grade,  I sold it the next week.

Depending on where you live in SOCAL it isn't really that hot.  It is very rarely humid.  The main thing I use AC for in my car is getting the fog off my windshield at night. No one in my neighborhood has AC on their house, not a big deal to not have it on your car.

I have done the bomb calorimeter test, and the whole thing seemed like bullshit to me. I accept that it is useful for determining the power output of hydrocarbon fuels for the purpose of determining energy density for stuff you are going to burn. But burning something to determine how much chemical energy a complex

He is not alone. The will it baby series is very relevant. Mason is not much older than Otto

Probably another Subaru.

I spent a horrible year in Korea and I can't imagine anything of any quality coming out of that place. I have never seen a ten year old Korean car that wasn't a total piece of shit. When that changes I may change my mind.

Good looking car. Probably has a nice price and warranty. I bet it is reasonably reliable. I am still not going to buy a fucking Kia.

Especially not this drip pan, it seems to be there to catch any drips from the front bumper. Also if you put your drip pan where the truck is leaking you will have to clean the drip pan. I have been guilty of both strategies.

I always thought that Cici's Pizza was marginally worse.
