What are you talking about? Nero doesn’t have a new voice, it’s the same guy who voiced him 10 years ago in DMC4, Johnny Young Bosch. As for the combat, enemy, and level design...DMC5 is being directed by Hideaki Itsuno, the same person who directed DMC3 & 4; except this time around it look like he’s actually been

Whaddya mean I can’t fuck a blue alien or a hot gay wizard? PASS.

Obligatory Suikoden II reminder.

My guess is he sets it up like a hitbox.

No reason I can think of...except that Squeenix tends to not release their PS1-era stuff on the Switch. But that’s just a weird trend I’ve noticed, not a hard fact.

With Moonlighter’s release, my Kickstarter record for games is now 15-1-4 (shipped - failed - in production).

Valkyrie Profile is one of those odd omissions. Tactics Ogre is on there and I’d argue it’s almost as niche as VP. Oh well. Guess I’ll just have to wait and hope (and continue emulating).

It’s not available on any digital platforms. Believe me, I’ve checked because I was hoping to play it on my VitaTV.

Anyone remember that Kevin Sorbo “Disappointed!!!” clip? That’s what I’m feeling right now. Valkyrie Profile is easily one of my favorite games and the only way I can play it (outside of dusting off the PS1) is through emulation. Sure, this is on “modern systems”, but playing VP on mobile is not where I want to

Empty jump, low. The bane of all fighting game players regardless of skill level.

Heather, you missed a perfect opportunity to troll. Should’ve just wrote GIT GUD followed by a full screen of blank space, THEN started your article.

Now playing

Lol. Ricki and Justin standing there charging their meters reminds of the first time Tokido showed America the power of Urien’s Aegis Reflector.

DmC got a lot of free passes though with reviewers because everyone felt the need to defend the game from the bad guys.

TIL “time to penis” is an actual measurement for some (all?) game devs.

Characters like Gotenks and Cell relied on the pressure his assist provided

So....Mark Of The Ninja, but with more emphasis on thieving? Could be cool.

Well, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is right around the corner. You can always jump back in there. Frankly, that’s about as close to “ground zero” as you’re gonna get with a series that old.

It’s funny, I don’t often make time for JRPGs nowadays, but for the Trails series, I make an exception. It is hands down my favorite weeb adventure/soap opera. God, I hope that Crossbell fan translation comes out sometime soon. It’ll give me a reason to play it....again.

Pretty much in the same boat as you, Stephen. The only genre I keep loose tabs on is fighting games, but that’s because they’re my comfort food. Everything else gets a “if it’s good and I have the time, I’ll pick it up” evaluation. Besides, it’s nice not to be “in the know” about every title I might be interested in.

Wow. Spoken like someone who only read the quote, but didn’t bother to read the full article. Kotaku completely took that line out of context. Here’s the full paragraph:
