Wow. This article was a nostalgia stip. I asked my parents to buy this for me because the box art looked cool. At the time, my assumption was that it would be just another level based action game; boy, was I pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

“If you don’t have visibility, a large social following or a solid advertising presence, I can’t imagine it’s easy to sell an indie title on Steam or Gog”

The SOIYA in GBFV just went up by 10000000%

Broooooo...

Here’s another big minus: you can only see connection strength in Ranked. That’s right. If you open up a room or go into a lobby, you have no fucking clue if you’ll be dealing with 2 frames of lag or 20. FFS, WHY?!!!

That’s wonderful! UNICLR’s PS4 exclusivity reminded how much I hate playing fighting games on PSN. So much more lag compared to PC.

Already read that interview, and frankly, Daisuke’s comments regarding Rev2's continuing development smell like bullshit. Maybe if Xrd was a runaway hit, then I could put some validity into what he stated, but that isn’t the case. Rev 2 is only played by GG stalwarts (I know this because it’s the same 20-30 people I

Now playing

For anyone that’s interested, here’s some matches played by some top Japanese players (Ain, Fab, Samitto, Roi) as well as the Q&A that followed afterwards. Don’t forget to hit “CC” for subtitles if it’s not already on.

This is a fine note.

From the men’s restroom to the EVO main stage. French Bread fans sure have (deservedly) come up.

From the GBFVS subreddit:

Not really. People have already labbed it and found counter measures.

Huh...I didn’t even think about the secondary economy related to the mobile game. You just made my decision to purchase a whole lot easier. Thanks!

“11 REAL characters”

Frankly, Granblue Fantasy is on its way to be ALL the things. Currently, it’s a gatcha mobile game, a fighting game, a (soon to be) action/rpg game, a manga, and an anime. Wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being one of those pop up cafes.

Yeah, that’s something I’d forgotten. My expectations were set by the console release of Xrd (17) and DBFZ (24, but less diversity in design). Perhaps my biggest issue with GBVS is that the base roster only makes me say “Oh, that’s cool...” rather than “I MUST play that character!”

You don’t have to use the “simple” method for executing specials. In fact, it’s mostly in your best interest NOT to use them because doing so comes with a cool down penalty.

Yeah, there are certainly arguments for and against buying it. In the end, if the game is fun to play and I end up sinking a 1000hrs into it, then that $60 will feel like a steal. That’s pretty much what I’m mulling over right now. So far I’ve been watching the people who bought the Japanese version and trying to

SFV had 16 characters at launch, which I feel is the minimum a modern fighting game should start with.

I’m still debating whether 11 characters for $60 is “worth it”.
