I see Nintendo’s horny casino is still going strong.
Well....good luck with that, Netflix. You’re gonna need it (like, humongous boatloads of it).
I’m constantly amazed by Japan’s ability to turn anything into waifus. Sword waifus? Check. Game console waifus? Been there, done that. Battleship waifus? Got that covered with TWO different IPs.
So, Tencent is essentially becoming the Disney of the video game industry.
I couldn’t stop laughing when Byleth was revealed. Another fucking Fire Emblem character? Smash is something that I only dabble in and even I was massively disappointed. The only upside of this announcement is that Keef will have some wonderful material for a new video.
But would that really be so bad? There’s so many high profile games coming out in late March that this delay seems like a good thing.
Only a month for FFVIIR? That’s not bad at all.
+ Powerful
But what about censored vagina bones? LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE!!!! /s
> No reason that wouldn’t also apply to a remake, even if you are familiar with the original.
Counterargument: there is no way to replicate the tension, surprise and fear or the original. The reason that scene worked so well was because we had no idea who Sephiroth was and what he was capable of, but that isn’t the case anymore. Nowadays, he’s the most easily recognized FF villain. Even people who haven’t…
IIRC, Fahey wanted to play CSIII, but abstained because he hadn’t played the previous games and knew he was going to be missing a lot of references.
I can excuse the Kotaku staff for not touching CSIII. It’s the third chapter of the third arc of a long running series. Even many JRPG enthusiasts balk when they hear “To get the most out of CSIII, you only have to play seven 80-100 hr games. Oh, and uh...two of those games aren’t officially released in english. But…
Nah, it’s totally excusable. SaGa is already a niche within the niche of JRPGs and to top it all off, was released at the worst possible time (aka Dec). Hell, I’m the target demographic and I completely missed it! Thanks for letting me know it exists. Gonna go pick it up now.
DMC5 is my GOTY, but I completely understand why it’s not popping up on many “best of 2019” lists. Most game journalists aren’t the type of players who love to dig deep into combo systems. Even among fans of the game, the number of people who can Max-Exact, jump cancel, style switch, and single/double weapon switch wit…
Guilty Gear Xrd is my #1 for this decade. I still remember how blown away I was when the camera started rotating. Up until that point, I thought I was looking at HD sprites, not 3D models.
$$$. Yeah, it’s not very exciting, but that’s how my family rolls. They always err on the side of practicality rather than risk buying me something I won’t want or use.
Sweet. I really enjoyed this game, but there really isn’t much to do after you finish the campaign.
I really enjoyed the battle system and....actually, that’s pretty much the only thing I liked about FFXIII.
