Some of my favorite games of the past few years are ones I’ve helped Kickstart (the most recent being Battletech), but this project looks really underdeveloped. When I place my “bet”, it’s after the team has CLEARLY outlined in DETAIL what they want to do. Sadly, 198X has done none of that.

I’ve heard, but I really don’t feel like messing with it. Besides, the slowness doesn’t bother me as much as it does other people, so I’m content with waiting on HBS to patch in a solution.

Seconding wiski. Watch videos. In fact, here are the two that helped me the most:

It all looks great, but it’s a bit of a shame that the game is so slow.

Still waiting on Bayonetta 3. Once that game drops, I’ll buy a Switch. Hopefully it’ll be able to backup save data by then. Who am I kidding? Of course it won’t.

I didn’t! In fact, I blitzed through Yakuza 6 so I could play GoW ASAP. In retrospect, I should’ve saved Yakuza 6 for later. GoW is SUPER FUCKING SERIOUS while Yakuza 6 is not, which would’ve made it a perfect palette cleanser. Oh well, I barely touched any of 6's side content, so it looks like I’ll still be hanging

Ah, the Sega Saturn. Still one of my favorite consoles because of all the imports.

Seeing this list of failed MOBAS reminds me so much of the fighting game craze back in the height of the arcade era. So many tried, but only a few were successful.

Here’s the silver lining, GoW might be on sale by the time we’re done with Yakuza 6. I just realized April is the month for dad games. Actually, in Kiryu’s case, he’s a grandad. Still, April is where Sony and Sega want dads to beat some ass.

Now that they’ve got APWOT up and running, I doubt the next issue will take two years. However, I doubt they’ll ever get to two a year.

The team said they were aiming for 1 or 2 issues a year, but even that’s still up in the air.

I’m not into battle royale games in the slightest, but I am extremely curious as to how many players are in this market. Is there room for another big game or is this a LoL and DOTA2 situation?

Sad news, but at least Games Maya is going out on a high note.

How long do you think it’ll be before we get a match fixing scandal?

Crackpot theory: Squeenix is trying to reverse their karma. 10 years of releasing FFXV stuff to make up for the 10 years of delay.

I wish both these games the best of luck, but as you stated in this article, they may have missed their moment. Hopefully, they have something that makes people pay attention. It’s crazy how stiff the competition is nowadays.

I’m totally down for Episode Hot Dragoon Lady and Episode Blatant Product Placement. But seriously, I’d love a Cup Noodles DLC if it was handled like this:

Starcraft: Orcs In Space edition.

I was being facetious.

Eric, do you know what else was incredible about the stream? No one dropped the n-word. That’s fucking astounding in this day and age.
