Well, I just dropped around $500 on this laptop and it’s doing an alright job. In a couple years when I get tired of it, I’ll give it to my cousin, budget out $700-1000, and build myself a solid console-esque box. By that time, even the today’s top of the line cards will be dirt cheap. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll ever

Holy crap, you’re running a 10 year old rig? You must’ve decked it out when you first put it together.

Consoles are nice for what they are and what they cost.

The developers use the term Souls-lite because it has “Pattern-based bosses and minions, weapons and spells with unique gameplay. Make do with what you have and don’t forget to roll.”

I’d argue FFXV could’ve used another year in the oven, not six months.

My cousin is a lot like you. When I take into consideration how much he bitches about this game, I’m so glad CCGs have never been my cup of tea.

Wow. It really has grown quite a bit. Let’s hope it gives even more Japanese indie devs enough exposure so that their titles will make it here to the west.

“That Zelda hoe” is now firmly etched into my mind. I don’t think I’ll be able to look at her now without thinking it.

Is it too early to declare 2017 as the best year for gaming asses? We got 2B in March and now Twinelle is coming in hot.

I can understand not having a comprehensive analysis of each character’s strengths and weaknesses. Hell, I wasn’t even expecting basic day 1 strats. But there isn’t even a “Use Deadshot’s gun...a lot”.

It warms my heart to see GG Xrd and 3rd Strike in the top five.

I don’t want to get all “HAVE YOU HEARD OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR?!!” on you, but it really is a great fighting game. When SFV started feeling stale, I switched to GG Xrd and never looked back.

I’m surprised by the omission of VF5 too. I was under the impression Japan loved that series.

And footsies in a netherrealm game?

It’s really weird to see a fighting game talked about in this light. When I saw tips for playing Injustice, I was expecting “Learn footsies” or something to that effect.

Sounds cool, but no thanks to early access. I’ll check it out when it’s officially “done”.

Hasn’t Castlevania always been considerably more popular in the west than it ever was in Japan? Kind of like Metroid.

You should probably add a “Scalpers!” in front of that “Shut up and take my money!”. If Nintendo ever decided to do a classic console re-skin for the Switch, we all know they’d only manufacture 10 of them.

I’d be worried if it was the Edmonton studio, but this is Montreal (aka the B-team)

I remember more than a couple of people saying they were passing on Vanquish because it was short. Completely understandable. Unless you’re into the Platinum philosophy of “normal difficulty = basic training”, then you were essentially paying $60 for a 5-7 hour game. I personally got around 70 hrs out of it, but skill
