I just don't get why you would care what other people look like. I get why you might care about your own weight/outward appearance. I even get why you might care about the body type of a potential mate, if certain body types are more attractive to you.

Finnick was really good, and anybody that thinks Jesse Williams would have done a better job than Sam Claflin is a fool.

I laughed, I cried, I almost crapped my pants at the monkeys...

How great was Finnick! I was very dubious about the casting choice, but somehow it worked. There were several great moments where Sam Claflin did a great job conveying the complexity of his character. The sugar cube scene, which annoyed me in the books, turned out great - more intelligent and calculating than

That knitted vest/pullover thing she was wearing at the beginning is THE BEST. Looked on ravelry.com for a good pattern. Found one, but not quite what I'm looking for. If anybody has any suggestions let me know!

It's amazing that everyone was meh on Jena Malone and now we're all so impressed. She really was fantastic as Johanna, which I was not expecting at all.

So glad to hear that other people cried their way through this movie, my boyfriend thought I was losing my mind...

Loved it too. Loved it. For everything you guys mentioned and more.

Stanley Tucci had eyebrows! He had purple eyebrows. AND I NEED THEM NOW.

What is happening to this site with all the faux teen-speak and ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? This is a serious story that deserves serious treatment, but honestly, the slang and stupid typography is annoying with any story.

Oh man, this hits close to home. Since coming in to my own and really finding my personal style which I guess is sort of biker/stud happy, the number of times I get asked if I'm a lesbian has increased 3-fold. I'm a heterosexual female. I'm not offended for my own sake, I'm offended that this is just a thimbles taste

It's fair use pure and simple, and they don't need to ask. If this goes to court the Beasties will lose.

Whether or not GoldieBlox's parody argument has legs, the Beastie Boys still have a lot of apologizing to do for the lyrics of Girls. They apologized in the past for their homophobic lyrics, so it's time to make amends for "to do the laundry, to clean up my room" etc. Allowing GoldieBlox to license the song for this

Cornelius is pretty foxy, what with that dashing hair and sultry gaze. I mean...yay science.

I got caught up in the anti-Hunger Games sentiment that I think had more to do with its being (wrongly) compared to the Twilight Series. I can only assume this spawned from what appear to be similar fan bases - legions of young girls. I finally caught the first film on Netflix and enjoyed it very much. I would even

Sometimes you want a four course meal at a five star restaurant.

Saw it last night and I can agree this is definitely better than the first (no shaky cam) and definitely better than the book. Great addition to the franchise. I'm a bit leery about them wanting to make the third book into two movies but if they pull it off the same way I could be up for it.

This show brings me so much happiness. The two episodes last night were some of the best TV I've seen in a long time. I want to hang out with all those characters, even Jerry/Gary/Larry.
