I'd rather play it in 2005.
I'd rather play it in 2005.
It is a little bit of sarcasm. Like my shredder box that says "paperwork has never been so much fun", it worked before and dammit, it'll work again!
I'd argue personal preference over generational differences, especially at around 40. For example, at a similar age I much prefer handhelds as I find I am able to sit down and enjoy them much more often. I maintain that Etrian Odyssey IV was the most "epic" game I played last year. My 70 year old Uncle is also a gamer…
I bought X based on box art, so much more relaxing to look at. And to be fair I've spent more time looking at the box than playing the game...
Looks like the Sony Game Boy.
Looks like the Sony Game Boy.
That was pretty snarky.
Hilarious!
So much rage in the comments, as usual with comparisons. Why can't everyone just get along, it's an enhanced game that many people have already played!
The PS2 can sort you out so well for JRPGs! The only problem really is the cost of some of the games and the small matter that there are so many!
That opinion of QA just shows how ignorant some people are of just how broken a game will be during development. The finished result of Skyrim was hugely impressive considering the scope of the game, and the balancing act it will have taken to get the game working as it does is something I wish more gamers would…
Agreed! Shin Megami Tensei IV and Etrian Odyssey Untold spring to mind! Still no fixed release date in the UK though we're assured they are coming (I'm a little impatient for these two).
Agreed, these feel like the games that need it, and for me then it is only through amazon which doesn't cost me a penny. All I've preordered in the last year has been Etrian IV, Symphonia PS3 and Dark Souls II (though I can't really imagine the latter being hard to get hold of, it's also only for the special edition).
It was hugely dramatic.
"There was a time... that time is long passed" - The game came out in October, stop being so bloody dramatic.
When I first got my SNES and had no Internet, my friend came home from a holiday in America with a US SNES. When I saw that hideous Parma Violet... thing, I could only think that he had bought a cheap, pirated knock-off SNES. I was genuinely amazed when I learned that that really was the colour scheme they went with…
When it comes out over here I'm planning on the open mind strategy. That and avoiding reviews, barely any films get consistently great reviews these days but the only film I've bit enjoyed this year was You're Next!
Thought that was probably it, it just stuck out as particularly odd in it's current state!
You probably ought to say it's terrible and that you're disappointed after you've seen it though. Unless you share a hive mind with the friend that saw it, you might be better waiting until you've seen it yourself before sharing someone else's subjective opinion as your own.
