theres no mark up because there selling you the car at sticker price, and keeping the markup they would have given to a franchise dealer.... Musk didn't get rich by selling products at wholesale to consumers...

I got both.. salary plus commission at a large GM store... I worked there for 5 years

some Tesla sales guys are part time... then they can move to full time..

I have a Marketing degree.... and I sell cars because I love cars...

I had the same exact experience... GM and GSM were great... after they hired new managers it all went down hill for me...

my point is that, (and you basically made it for me) competition between 2 sellers of the same product is good for consumers, not bad.
