@Ghost_in_the_Machine: Agreed. The best shows were the ones that avoided any filler. Firefly, Traveler, Journeyman. Hopefully this lasts longer than those.

Falling Skies, Battle: Los Angeles, and Skyline. That's a lot of alien invasion TV/movies. Still, these new shows/films are looking good. I'm excited.

So it sounds like a cross between that upcoming Battle: Los Angles movie and Cloverfield.

I had no idea it was from the Equilibrium/Ultraviolet guy. My interest...well, went down. I'll have to wait for some friends' opinions before seeing it now.

A few that weren't on the list:

Wait, didn't they already make a Haunted Mansion movie? With Eddie Murphy? Have they tried to cover that up?

@dong001: More like Oliver Coipel's redesign.

Doesn't look at all like George Kirk. Wow, Hemsworth got bulky.

I loved Ledger as the Joker, but what I love about Nolan's Bat movies is that Batman is the focus, not the villains. Even in the Dark Knight, the Joker really was the distraction to the main story of Batman and Harvey's duality.

Now I want to see the Emerald City created Inception style...

Okay, I'll say this: the tagline + title make a really cool line.

Yet another reason I'm devastated that I'm not going to SDCC this year. I have my press pass, but no hotel. :(

I loved Predators, and these rock. Is it the gritty, realistic look of the film? No, but it captures the raw awesome of it all.

The Wolfman didn't do well? That's very disappointing. It was my second favorite film of the year after Inception.

As someone who loves Stargate (the movie and the TV shows), I have to say, Sol looks intriguing. Although I get more of a Lost vibe from it, beyond the Gate reference.

@Charlie Jane Anders: Glad to hear I'm not the only one. There's almost an opinion myopia against it.

I'd say Sunshine was strong science fiction, no shit to solve there. And it was awesome.
