In case it wasn’t clear, it’s really the delta here that’s interesting rather than absolute power numbers.

The track was sticky for sure, though it was just a test and tune night so I’m not sure how far they go. Also, the E36 rear suspension is garbage for drag racing and will wheel hop with the slightest amount of spin, so I had to be careful on the launch.
A 1.9 60ft is abysmal for a car like the Demon. Tuned GTIs can do that, it’s pathetic for a purpose built drag car.
Almost like the driver has something to do with launching and controlling the vehicle. Might be a crazy notion that many internet warriors are not familiar with.
They were only a second apart at the end of it...
1) Available tracks and dragstrips are becoming more and more rare. The run-what-ya-brung tracks used to be plentiful, but tightening regulations and extensive land development have forced a lot of them to close.
The other day we saw an interview in which Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen pointed to the Youths and infrastructure…
There’s a black cts-v wagon for sale in my home town (Calgary, AB). With an auto. Asking price is $45,000 CAD ($36,000USD). I want it but can’t convince my wife that she wants it too.
What about tires that need to be replaced anyway? May as well give them a good send off
Funny they didn’t mention anything about the turbo!
It sucks though that the salesman has nothing to do with it. Most of them think it’s cheesy too but they go along with it.
Damn, I would have thought the 1st gen ones would have depreciated to that level by now, but apparently not. I just made myself sad.
I judge people by the tires they put on their cars. I think that’s the most telling thing. Tires are like shoes.
I thought this article would be about why the cars themselves sucked, but in all actuality, it turned out to be about why YOU suck driving high hp cars (hhpc).
After daily driving high horsepower cars for years, I don’t think I could go back. They’re no less fun on windy roads, but they’re so much more fun when you’ve got the space to [commit a felony and not get caught]. The frustration you’re experiencing is because your time in that car is limited. You know you only have…
I wanted a wagon but had trouble finding one in my price range (mid 40's). I had to settle on a sedan, sucks to be me :)
Uh, I think we have different definitions of fast.
Give us back the CTS-V wagon, ffs.
99 Honda Si in Electron Blue Pearl with the Blue Scorchers was like mad tight, yo... Circa 1999. DAMHIK.
I remember the BF Goodrich Scorcher back in the day:
