I use the bundle method all the time and travel 3 weeks a month. My slacks and dress shirts handle it beautifully. Usually, I'll only bring one suit/sport coat and will wear that when I'm running through the airports. I also incorporate packing cubes for my undershirt/socks/running clothes.
