Daddy of Five - I believe the kid that got the worst of it was given back to his bio mom but otherwise if I recall correctly the dad got probation I believe and that was it. He is still is posting videos on youtube using his kids just under a new username.

I was thinking the same thing. Basically kids on monetized YouTube channels are child actors — they should get the same protections as any other child performer. We can’t stop people from abusing their kids, but we can at least make it harder for them to make money off of it.

As terrible as this program sounds it’s not nearly as bad as “Moms Making Porn for Their Kids” sounded like!

That headline brings me joy, because I just heard the developer go FULLY HAM on Kai Ryssdal for calling it a “mall” instead of whatever dumbshit corporate doublespeak thing they named it. 

I legitimately read that headline to mean that these moms were going to be starring in a porn that their children would then watch. While still horrifying, the truth is far, far less appalling. 

Just increase the number of Representatives in the House to 700+. That’ll boost the EC and give greater parity to high population states like California and Texas.

I mean, 1) five times out of 50-ish? elections is a 10% failure rate. Two of those times have been within the past 20 years and resulted in two of the worst presidents in American history.
