Yup. Same issue with printers.

Is see zero Jesus in there. Is Trump taking the Christ out of Christmas? I suspect that if a certain previous president had decorated like this, the Usual Suspects would be freaking out over that.

I worked for HP for a long time. I was in the Enterprise (server) side, but because I was “in the business”, friends and family considers me the HP laptop expert and came to me to help choose their computer. This problem existed over a decade ago, and it is not just a result of website design. It is also a result of a

Indeed! Consider that Cyberpunk used the (then) 40+ year old theme of the noir detective and incorporated it into something new, it is to be expected that the (near) 40 year old themes of Cyberpunk get incorporated successfully into SF today.

Something that the video gets very right is the fact that New Wave and post-New Wave Science fiction focuses on and amplifies the things that we fear. In earlier Science Fiction, technology was the hero. In Cyberpunk, technology is at best an anti-hero.

NJ tech worker here. The fact that this is going to be in Long Island City means that the commute is to far for us. We do not cross the East River for work.

I work in tech in NYC, and I am expecting that things are going to get even more understaffed and overworked over the next few years, so Wall St. will send more jobs to Cary NC.

Essentially you are saying that *your* childhood fashion icon will last forever, while that filthy plumber’s childhood fashion icon is for losers.

How about Iain M. Banks’ Culture books? The Culture is essentially an anarchist utopia, and the conflict in those books revolves around how the nearly-omnipotent Culture deals with circumstance of ambiguous morality (dare I say... *special* circumstances :-)

While i find it satisfying to catch Trumplodytes showing their true colors, and the tweet in question is chock full of typical MAGA race-baiting, the 88 reference is just a bit too InfoWars-hysterical for me.

Saying the dog shot this guy is just bait to get us to read the article. The guy stored his shotgun in a very unsafe manner, and as expected and accident occurred and he got shot. The dog was just a loose object that triggered the loaded, chambered, and safety-off firearm that he stored in a car so that it could be

Sayoc’s defense attorney from previous crimes said in an interview that he believed Sayoc was mentally handicapped. Things like “self control of a young boy,” “no attention span,” and “boy in a man’s body” IIRC. This is going to sound weird, but after hearing the report I am inclined to feel sorry for the guy. He

His father is Philoipino, his mother is “white”. He labels himself a white nationalist. He also claims sometimes to be a Seminole Indian, for some reason. His lawyer from previous crimes has said in interviews that he believes Sayoc to be undiagnosed mentally handicapped (said he had the self-control “of a young boy”)

Genius at math does not gurantee that you are not a halfwit in other fields. His idea of how to organize a civilization was about the kevel of a 9th grader with Aspergers.

What? No Slashdot?

Engineers deal with it by providing multiple oayers of pioeline and cacheing, from the registers which operate more or less at CPU speed through L1, L2, and L3 cache. Plus the CPU has interlocks that stall the pipeline until data arrives. Compilers try to optimize things by organizine machine instructions in such a

Any minute now the usual MRA crowd will jump in on the side of Strumia and raise him up as a hero of their cause.

First, it’s $270 per *device*, not per tower. Each tower usually has cell equipment from multiple service providers.

Possibly true, but even at the current level of “hard to access”, they are ridiculously easy to access. Source: i live in one of the states with the strictest gun permitting laws, and I have several guns. Got a permit to buy another handgun earlier this year, took 4 days and $2.50. It was SO easy to get that I didn’t
