Frankly, why isn’t this illegal? Why is it that a city can give a huge, over-reaching tax cut to a corporation without consent of the people who live there? Consent would require transparency. It also feels like a sort of discrimination against literally every other company that exists in any of those cities. Granted,

Exact same reaction here. Without that last line it was feeling very similar to a few others, but man... that... that is exactly what he should do.

This. My suggestion would’ve been to try and get mom and dad on board to basically do the same make-out scene in front of HER until she announces how gross it is and just nod and say, “You’re right, IT IS” very pointedly. This, however, is much better.

For anyone already using 1Password, it has built-in functionality for authenticator codes, which on one hand is pretty great for a situation where you lose your phone. On another, it is one more possible weak point, as it’s more than just one device that can then access your account, and if your security for THAT

This is my family, and why I have a strict “I’m not going to fix your shit” attitude. Sorry, but frankly if you’d like to learn I’d love to teach you, but if you have zero intention of putting forth any effort and want me to spend hours of my time fixing the litany of things you don’t understand, who’s really in the

What’s wrong with the Roku Spotify app, out of curiosity? I know it has one, just not what the complaint is.

Please do, because it really is kind of a hazard. My kiddo brought one home last year but it was thick and made of plastic. That at least made sense.

I do, but mainly just to make appointments at the apple store should I need to because it’s a lot easier to get to in the app than it is by going to Apple’s website. I keep it tucked away in a folder of misc. crap that I never open.

I was going to say something, but this said it better than I could’ve.

I know this is an older post, but the few times I’ve (ironically) said “LOL” out loud the word came out “lawl” or the plural “lulz”. Saying it at all should clearly be done ironically, otherwise you’d be laughing and saying it at the same time.

The reality here is that vaping is far easier to ween someone off of and quit than smoking. You can lower your nicotine levels slowly, over time, without needing to reduce how often you do it habitually. That was the only way I was able to quit smoking, and then vaping, by breaking the addiction, THEN the habit.

To begin with, the post is six and a half years old. My main purpose for the comment was that a site called “lifehacker” doling out basic-use tutorials, at about the same level of “how to copy and paste on your computer” and “how to change inputs on your TV” was pretty strange. It’s not a “life hack” it’s a “how to

That makes a lot of sense. What’s nice, however, is FBA DOES allow for easier returns than buying direct from another company if something does go wrong. No dealing with the seller first, getting the runaround, and finally having to go to Amazon to get the problem sorted.

You can reset to factory, but you have to be able to access the settings to do so, so if it’s frozen or bricked you’d be out of luck. Best solution at that point is to force-reboot into iTunes mode and restore. Neither will work without turning off Find iPhone, if that’s enabled, first.

I buy almost exclusively from listings “Sold by Amazon” or “Fulfilled by Amazon” and haven’t ever had these kinds of issues. I know that’s not always an option, but I don’t like to buy anything from there that doesn’t go through Amazon’s warehouse first. It seems like they tend to, on average (not saying there aren’t

For some reason I hadn’t seen any of them on my first pass through. Not a huge fan of this commenting system some days. Thanks for making me feel better about it, though! lol

Oddly I feel like I’m the only one here who pronounces it “Super EN-EE-ESS”. I rarely say “ESS-EN-EE-ESS” and even more rarely call it a “Super Nintendo”. I was actually amused that most listings I’ve seen for this product have called it the “Super NES” as well. I think it’s just because I called the “NES” an

“It launches with a solid games library which can’t ever be expanded.”

Are you thinking they’d have a button on the box to find the remote, or an app on your phone, or what? Not hating the idea, just wanted to be clear since you need the remote to interact with the Apple TV, unless you’re using your phone, but then you could just use the remote app on the phone, etc etc. I understand

This is exactly what I was about to suggest. I picked one up and no longer seethe in hatred when using my Apple Remote. Would’ve been nice of them to have figured out that stainless and glass aren’t the best materials to make a remote control that typically sits on the arm of a couch out of, but it was a cheap fix,
