That’s true. Google has copied a lot of the visual aspects, while Apple has copied many of the functionality. It’s a give and take. It’s not like the exact same thing hasn’t been true for the longest time with respect to operating systems, either. Linux, Mac, and Windows all copy off each other as well.  I agree it’s

Same.

Yeah, this is probably the most exciting thing next to the group-iMessage-name-notification-feature-thing-I-don’t-know-what-to-call-it.

I mean, I’ve been on iOS since before it was CALLED iOS and this was my first reaction.  I’m not complaining about it, because these are features that have heavily tempted me to switch to a Pixel.  I’m glad they’re catching up, and I hope they do it in a clear and intuitive way, like many of the other things they’ve

It’s always fun when they update an 8 year old article and I suddenly get notifications on a post from way back when, lol.  That’s funny that someone else had the same experience as me, though!

That’s just insane.  I’d definitely sell that story to someone.  Radio, TV, anything.  I feel like it’s interesting enough that it’d be worth a laugh at the least.

I don’t really see how it could lead to any legal troubles. They’re the ones who gave the OP access to the account, frankly, so it’s really on them for doing so. I wouldn’t see it as much different than someone signing you up for a mailing list and you unsubscribing, personally. But I’m not a legal expert, so I could

That’s some weird kind of insanity right there.  Personally, I’d probably make the effort to completely close down the account.  Or, if she’s using it to set up accounts, reset those passwords and close those out as well.

It was sarcasm.  From 7 years ago.  ;)

Now playing

Thanks for this comment. I love older technology and learning how they managed to make interesting things like this work, so I had to look it up. It’s definitely an interesting device.

The ONLY way I could see myself wanting to ask that sort of question is if I were part of a same sex couple and wanting to have a child. I wouldn’t ask those questions, though, I’d ask something more along the lines of “I want to have a child, could you recommend any resources and/or doctors to talk to about it?”. And

I’m curious if others have had this issue, but I’m pretty confident that this method ended up messing up the seals on my truck to where it now leaks. I’ve locked my key (I don’t have a spare) in my truck 3 times in the past 8-9 years that I’ve had it, and this is the exact method both AAA and the police use if you ask

The reaction to the stand part of the announcement in the keynote was priceless, tbh.

My mother used to BOIL her pork chops and chicken before “cooking” them in a pan/oven respectively. I grew up thinking I hated pork chops because those were the only ones I’d ever had (though I’d had better chicken and knew it was just her methods, I never realized this about the pork). Years later when I got into

I’ll do this for a quick and lazy meal sometimes, but use a much fattier (and thus fall-apart) cut, and add mushrooms and onion soup mix (or other flavoring) to actually have some flavor in there. Set it in the crock pot for hours on end and it becomes more a pork and mushroom gravy than anything, then put it on

This was what I came to say. I buy packs of them, 12 at a time or whatever. Just plain, boring socks because I don’t want to cut my circulation off at the ankle.

I remember pointing out to my wife that I couldn’t really Marie Kondo my stuff or I wouldn’t have any of my necessities anymore save for, like, a couple pairs of pants and some shirts because none of that stuff brings me joy.  And yet my mother would probably insist everything she hoards brings her joy no matter what

That’s a dealbreaker for me right there.  I don’t understand why in the world they couldn’t support LAN, but I’m not an expert in such things, either.

More people are catching on to this tactic where I live.  Almost every restaurant was packed the weekend before Valentine’s Day, and the weekend after as well.  It’s a bit frustrating since my birthday is the 17th, a mere 3 days afterward, and this holiday spreading means it’ll be much more difficult to enjoy a night

This is what bothered me.  Using “Touch-ID” in the header made me think immediately of iPhones, not Android, and then the article doesn’t mention Apple at all.
