No, not universal, is why I said “pretty sure”. I’d bet most places frown upon it, lol.

$2 more per month, times 12 months, is $24, times 2 years, is $48. Because you’ve saved $2 per month, times 12 months, times 2 years, which was $48. Not getting how their math is wrong? If you’d literally set that $2 aside each month, you’d have the extra $2 that the subscription is now going to cost you covered for 2…
Pretty sure if you bring a bed into work your boss won’t be very happy.
I thought this summed it up quite well:
And that’d cause some serious problems in either Ireland or England. Like, you could go home with a bloody nose or a black eye.
I’m starting to get offended by people being offended about everyone being offended by everything. Geeze.
We all live and learn of course! Hell, my cat isn’t smart enough to chew his hard food some days and will scarf it down too quick, then throw it up 5 minutes later. I’ve debated on going with wet-food-only for him, but the cost makes it difficult, and it’s thankfully only an occasional thing.
I just had to comment that I didn’t know yew was poisonous and when I was a child my grandmother had full bushes surrounding the front walkway to her house. I played with the berries whenever I saw them because they are squishy and red and jelly-like on the inside. More than once I had considered eating them, but they…
Completely wrong. I keep poinsettia out of my house because my cat has an annoying tendency to literally chew on any living plant in the house, including those, and I don’t want to risk him ingesting enough of it to make him sick. I’d certainly keep any of the above plants out of here for the same reason.
I’m pretty sure this was intending to teach people about decorative houseplants that are dangerous, a very specific set of plants. I, for one, know that my cat will eat living plants and leave just about everything else alone, so it’s a useful list for me. It’s not all-inclusive and is specifically for a subset of…
I know as soon as something like that came out of another player’s mouth I’d blatantly just tell them “no”, and the game would become “I’m keeping what I have, and we’re going to go around this thing 500x until someone finally runs out of money and we all hate each other. This is literally why “finagling” the rules is…
I agree with the others that this is a bit sketchy simply because of the multipart question. If someone threw that at me I’d be like, “uhmm, no, you ask one question, not three”. I mean, you can cheat at just about any game and win a majority of the time, “finagling around the rules” is just a fancy way of saying…
Yeah, I ditched it soon after making that post. I’ve gone to web based email since there is no longer a single email client I can rely on to not rip me off or that hasn’t had their development halted. I’ve also left an office environment, so that helps. Having emails downloaded to my computer and easily accessible in…
Part of me actually hoped this is what the article was about. That would be freaking awesome, and something I’d be willing to get ahold of busted laptops just to do.
There is every possibility they would rust over time. It takes a while, but “stainless” steel is really only corrosion resistant, not corrosion proof. That being said, it would depend heavily on the environment it’s exposed to. Salt and humidity can speed the process significantly, especially in an outdoor environment…
Thank you for that, I’d honestly never thought of it before and it sounds like a great idea!
No problem. I saw reference to this a long while back and got curious and tried it. It was the best pasta I’d ever made, so I didn’t want you to just dismiss it out of hand. :) Give it a shot one day and it’ll probably surprise you.
The reality here is that the starch added into the sauce helps it bind to the noodles better, and it does, in fact, thicken the sauce rather than thin it out. You have to leave it on the heat for a mere couple minutes longer and it makes a huge difference.
This kind of stuff is precisely why I read every word of every document they put in front of me when I was buying my first truck. By “first truck” I mean the first one I bought by myself, no co-signers, all responsibility was on me. It was a big deal to me.
Hah, thanks for that. I, personally, do simply throw all my change into a piggy bank for my kid or a larger one for myself, then take some time and roll it all up once there is a LOT there. That does seem like a good solution for folks who don’t want a large container of some sort holding a bunch of cash just sitting…
