It's okay, it looks like this is exposed enough that you could "accidentally" dump a bucket of water onto it if someone is being a jackass about it. Besides, I doubt these get all THAT loud, you should be able to drown them out with your own music pretty easily, especially if you choose to wear headphones.

I have used them in the past to hang jackets on for a very long period of time and never had a problem. And if you saw how much crap I typically had in the pockets of my jackets... I'd say they're quite sturdy.

I wouldn't be nervous about it, honestly. The only way it'll fall is if someone slides it out pretty far to the (apparent) left in the photo. If it takes a few inches to be capable of falling it'll probably be safe. I would've gone with 4 -6 hooks on the top and bottom just to be certain, though (assuming this

I based my comment off of the LH article, at the end of which they state "if you reboot your device, the apps will reappear". If they don't, then, hey that's even better.

Higher numbers are better!

I always like these small hacks, and it sucks that they pop back up after you reboot, but with the infinifolders we have now I simply throw all my least-used apps into the category they belong in, but at the END of folder. So they're typically several screens away and I don't see them under normal usage.

The idea behind this is to hide redundant apps that Apple won't let you hide, such as Newsstand, Mail, Messages, etc. It's typically used by people who rarely, if ever, use those apps because they have found reasonable alternatives. Apple truly does need to allow hiding of these apps officially within the OS.

With most carriers, you don't get a discount once your contract is up, you simply go contract-free so you can leave whenever you want. So you'll be paying the same amount whether you get your fancy new phone or not. Therefore, if you plan to stick with the same carrier over the course of however long their contract

To be honest, I believe I am a fanboy to an extent. I like Apple's products. I like the PS3 more than the Xbox 360 and have allowed that to shape my opinion of the next console generation. However, I feel I'm pretty well researched in backing my opinions. The hard part is that people tend to forget they are

I bought one a couple months ago, but I'm sure you're kicking yourself MUCH harder. You may actually be able to return it pretty easily, though. Amazon's return policy is super lenient.

Yeah. THANKS THORIN! And on a day when I really (no, f'reals) can't afford $1 to get an app omgritenao.

Vegetable oil and animal fats both go rancid. If you're seasoning the pan properly by heating it to the smoking point and beyond, to "burn" the fat onto the pan it won't go rancid. I used flax seed oil to start, after stripping some older pans that my mother had ruined (rust everywhere, seasoning beat to hell by

I did the exact same thing for our dinner. Bacon cheeseburgers are the BEST done in cast iron. I use a pan, not a griddle, but it's just as good.

WTF are "Pro Effects" referenced in the headline? If you're referring to the editing capabilities, those aren't effects, they are (as your second sentence says) tools. Pro effects seems like an oxymoron to me because the most professional photos (in my opinion, of course) are the ones that have more simple editing

DarkSky is my absolute favorite single-purpose iOS app. It works consistently, and always notifies me in a reasonable amount of time about rain. It doesn't base it only on weather "alerts" so it lets me know even if it's just going to be a drizzle. I do love it. I hope for your sake it gets ported properly to

I kind of like the ability to "choke up" on the handheld and play it more like a traditional system, like the old-school GBA, rather than having the buttons being so far below the screen with the actual gameplay. I do, however, think this might make it akward to access the touch screen while playing. Also, Kid

Just to nitpick a little... if cable went ala carte at $5 a channel I'd save a ton of money because I'd only want to subscribe to 5 dang channels. There's never anything worth watching on most of them, and maybe those networks would finally go away.

Sadly that won't work quite as well for the TV center I envision but definitely a good tip for bookshelves and the like, thanks!

I just know that people will try to use it for that purpose, so I thought I'd point out they're still likely to get caught. ;) I get that there's other reasons for the software, and I can definitely understand that. I do like the holiday shopping idea, for example. I could see that as coming in quite handy if you

I do wish I owned my own home, as I would love to do some more extreme space-saving tips. One thing I've wanted to do for a long time is mount my TV to the wall along with my video game systems. They're made to support standing vertically, so mounting them to a wall vertically shouldn't hurt anything, and having
