Dude, I totally had a DISC. That thing was a lot of fun, first camera I ever owned. Almost impossible to find film for.

I think the reason they're used in these images is for a sense of surrealism. I, personally, think it achieves that sense of surrealism. Though, honestly, I'm not a fan of sepia tones, either.

Obviously we should be turning our monitors 90° if we're writers, but using widescreen if we're artists. Anyone in-between just doesn't exist.

THIS is my point in my other post. You: Perfect target for K-Cups. Me: Horrible target since I usually make a pot at a time and drink most of it, if not all. These machines are made for a certain target demographic. I've seen them used in waiting rooms, most recently at a lawyer's office. They had a little

For everyone suggesting the filters that are available for the Keurigs... I don't really understand this mentality. I thought the whole point of a "single serve coffee machine" and their K-cups is to drop it in, brew, be done. Now you basically have the amount of work involved in making a full pot of coffee just to

There is a "Favorites" list you can add people to, which shows up under your "Phone" app, but with touchscreen it actually takes longer nowadays to "unlock your phone (putting in a PIN if you have one), go to the phone app, bring up the number pad, then hold down the 'button'" than it does to "hold the home button,

Rather than add a nickname to your contacts, you can also add a "phonetic first name" and "phonetic last name" by editing the contact and selecting "Add Field" at the bottom of the editing panel (page? whatever you call it) which brings up a list with options such as "Prefix", "Phonetic First Name", "Phonetic Last

Also, you're not trying to soak it in the ammonia, just seal it up with the fumes.

We used to have these growing randomly in our landscaping in the front yard at our old house. It was amusing, I'd go out and just rip some off if I wanted any. They weren't planted like you would herbs, though. They were in totally random places throughout the landscaping, so I don't know how in the world they got

lol, it's kind of sad, but that's exactly what I was thinking.

Perhaps it's just me, but that looks pretty ugly, you can see the prongs that'd normally be hidden by the hub's casing. Also, I'd have to wonder about potential power issues. If there's not enough power being supplied to the hub then some devices won't work properly. I've found that problem in general with Apple's

Or, on the flipside, it could get people annoyed with the protest and make them wish it weren't going on. I'm very much for this protest, and I agree with its message, but I do think that any protest that hurts the people who already agree with you isn't as effective. I like how Flickr handled it a lot better,

On the topic of all the "You don't act like you're against SOPA because you're posting this workaround" comments... While I understand WHY it's being done, the fact is that sometimes (like right now, sitting and work and bored out of my skull because there's literally no work to be done, but I can't leave) I just

Believe me, I don't play the "jack up the interest rate" game, either. My loan payments go to a bank, not to the dealership. When I bought my truck, they just contacted the bank for me because I didn't want to bother with it. They weren't going to be pocketing anything. I got the lowest interest rate I could

I always have fun when salespeople try the "up to" deal on me. I stare at them and repeat the original figure. Sorry, pal, I'm going to START with what I'm willing to pay "up to". Any more than that and I'm done.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the philosophy behind this? Why do you need exact change? And if you always pay exact change, how are you getting more coins to re-fill your little card thing? And if you DO pay exact change, one time, then go somewhere else to make another purchase, you now might not have

To be fair, the HD streaming capability that they're forcing users of the free app to "upgrade" for, and pay $40 a year, is now built-in to Ignition at no extra cost. So they kind of did give something to people that bought Ignition, a $10 discount on that feature, plus the fact that you don't have to ever pay again

Yup, it was so easy that he had to use a key with the key lock. Note that you don't ever see the bottom of the lock, and that two points in the video after the cut-away show him not really holding the lock at all, because he's stabilizing it by holding onto the key in his palm. Not to mention the obvious "twist"

Oh definitely for CandyBar, though I already own that. The big thing with the fonts, for me, is that I'm a graphic designer so it's always good to have access to more fonts in my line of work.

The Productive Mac Bundle is a little odd what with including two separate calendar programs, but both seem to have some interesting offerings. The MacUpdate one, for me at least, is worth the money for the fonts alone.
