So seems like Japan will wait until 2014? :(

Video not viewable in Japan :/

This reminds of the historical-medical manga-based Japanese drama JIN (2 seasons) wherein a modern-day brain surgeon travels to the period just before the Meiji Restoration and meet, guess who, Ryoma Sakamoto (played by the kickass Masaaki Uchino).

The book or the movie? Woz doesn't seem all too happy with the latter because of the 'manufactured scenes' (but still enjoyed it).

Not that different from countries where consanguinity prevails. Not saying there is a direct relation but it's interesting nevertheless.

The existence of actual samurai sword handle umbrellas doesn't help, I guess. I bought one on Kyoto 2 years ago. It looks lovely but not all that practical to hold in the rain.

How could this mix up even occur? The only way I could think of is that the guy was using one of the many gun sounds apps on his phone...

I'm 34 and cannot hear the 15K+ range :(

Hmm, seems like MS is experimenting with what to do. I hope they will have time to finalize everything soon so they can ship enough consoles at launch.

Speaking of which... how's the plan of supporting a second gamepad shaping up to be?

Sonic 2's Final Boss music has been one of my favorite for a long time

Arrive as in 'be available commercially to consumers'. It doesn't mean it will be the format of choice since it will probably be prohibitively expensive for the first few years, but it should be there nevertheless.

4K UHD (3840 × 2160) is around 8.3MP in resolution. There are already 4K UHD movies on BD so I presume they use up to 120GB of data. So yeah, I guess with all the special features and whatnot, it will be easy to fill up the disk. New compression algorithms will surely help manage the size.

Yeah, I was slightly disappointed by the book. It is not a bad book but could have been much better. The subtitle should be changed to "How I learned 6 things fast". The author only spends a little time on laying out the principles before going into the actual cases in great details:

I don't think it is this bad, though.

I only had one of those. I used the stop timer function quite a lot to time things in games!

Even the mighty Gorilla Glass crumbles in face of the mighty specks of sand trapped in one's pockets. Everyone should test for that.

I personally liked the movie. That said, it's directed by Miyazaki Jr. so I imagine it has been given the negative treatment just like his first movie (which I haven't seen yet).

For some strange reason, this video reminded me of the intro of Jurassic Park II (SNES)
