As much as I loved the first season of True Detective, I am uneasy about this season after looking at the trailer. It looks like when the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia people did Lethal Weapon 5. Also, Vince Vaughn is a bit of a hard sell outside of a comedy.
Those who do embrace it will simply outcompete those that don't. In an odd way it's still evolution in action, but unlike past iterations anyone can get in on it.
