It’s interesting to me that parents today seem to feel like they need to participate in their children’s pretend play. I don’t remember my parents EVER doing that with me. If I wanted to play pretend, I either had to do it on my own or with friends. Were expectations just very different in the 70s? Or were my parents

I just put anything I’m done with straight into the sink to rinse. I stack bowls, cups etc with cutlery, tongs and whatnot stacked inside under the tap so nothing gets dried on. I wash dishes and clean all surfaces as I go when cooking.

All the Americans being inadvertently racist with their weird US categorizations applied to Mediterranean cultures and this is the one take that actually thinks about it with something resembling a non-US-centric view.

So I have no clue if it’ll be a big deal, but hey, that’s the opinion I’d like to hear about.

I can’t fucking stand Bill Burr and his ilk ie comedians whose whole schtick is railing against political correctness. I mean he’s not wrong about white women but comedy should be about punching up, not down. I wouldn’t say telling LGBTQ+ people that they aren’t sufficiently oppressed and calling Black people “equator

Dear folks that are worried their comments will never be seen, I am reading them and I am sure folks like me are reading them too. I truly appreciate all of your stories and they genuinely scare me. Your efforts are not for nothing, YOUR RANDOM STORIES ARE MY FAVOURITE. Thank you! Keep it up. With much love, me. And

You need to make your own blog. This is tacky.

I am so exhausted of looking at that weird plastic skinned alien face every time I come on this site. Tomorrow can you at the very least use a pic with his mouth closed?

Let’s maybe not because, and I’m just spitballin here but... fuck that guy?

Please don’t ruin this for me. I have so little.

This reminds me of a line I like from a comedian:

Meh. Symbols can be co-opted, and this one was co-opted the minute they placed her. No one who visits the city thinks of the statue as connected or relating to the financial industry. No tourist or resident looks at her thinks “Boy, isn’t Wall Street great for commissioning this?”

Screaming about “don’t let anyone tell you I’m not a good man” is like an essential hallmark of a not-good man.

There’s plenty of hate for that family but....

That’s sort of been my issue with Jezebel for awhile. Not to get all “get off my lawn...” but I’ve felt this site really needed a more diverse group of female writers who span 20s-60+. Then I think the writing would have a richer, smarter and more interesting take on all elements: politics, entertainment, etc. I’ve

I had to re-read that statement twice because I was so taken aback. Not sure how old this writer is, but you’re right, a 30-second google search could have provided her some insight.

If you didn’t know anything about Rob Reiner, you could have at least taken 30 seconds to Google him. He’s been a highly vocal (and financial) advocate for civil rights for 50 years. He helped start the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He’s repeatedly bankrolled challenges to Right-wing legal attacks on women,

Except those are very clearly different shelves than what’s shown in the tweet and very clearly not the wire shelving that you’re asserting the tweeted shelves are. What’s your bent against this supermarket - do you work for Tesco?

No they’re refrigerated. See the sarnies? Sarnies get refrigerated.

Those are refrigerated shelves, you can see chilled sandwiches. UK stores pretty much always refrigerate sandwiches.

Can I be worried about all 3 options?
