You need to warn me before you make jokes that make it impossible for me to breathe.

Oh — Emirjeta Xhelili? Of the Mayflower Xhelilis?
PC culture is out of control. You call some people deplorable and they get all offended.
I agree. We should be concentrating on beating Trump and electing Senate progressives to keep Hillary accountable and get liberal justices on the Supreme Court. Sanders will be far better off in the Senate with his new committee appointments. Far more power, and less stress, than he would have had as president.
Most of u know that I have been a special needs teacher/administrator for nearly 18 years, the only job I have ever known. Excuse me now, there is a huge lump in my throat and I’m sobbing as I write this. Of the hundreds of children with special needs that I have worked with, I can tell you that every single one of…
As a fellow Bernie Bro, nothing has made me go running into Hillary’s arms like the behavior of the Republican party over the past three months. I went from saying my vote is irrelevant anyway so I’ll stay home (since I live in Mass), to thinking about voting for Jill Stein to being fully onboard with Hillary. Better…
i would argue that making an informed decision to choose that life for yourself should be acceptable within the framework of feminism, as long as you don’t condemn other women for making different choices. i haven’t read the linked article because really who has the time, but the excerpted portions don’t strike me as…
Feel free to disagree with me. Here’s my take. Choosing chastity as a woman isn’t feminism. Choosing chastity as a woman and having the right to not be judged as less or more of a human being because of it is feminism.
No shame, I would watch a Tom Hanks travel show where he goes around the world finding lost things, then making no attempt to find the people who lost them.
Well, I can’t approve of this sort of thing.
“The world would be a better place if we could use constructive language to communicate issues to each other instead of attacking people who clearly intend to be allies.”
This deserves every star that’s ever been handed out on Deadspin.
To be fair, the overwhelming majority of women would respond negatively to a man saying "what if this happened to me?"
I can’t relate to “what if this happened to me?” I can only relate via my relationship with women. I have never been sexually or physically victimized and have little chance of it ever happening to me. So I’m trying to sympathize as best I can.
I wish men would stop saying this. We don’t have value because of our relationships with men - we are people with worth no matter whether we’re related to you or not. Instead of thinking, “what if this happened to my wife/sister/mother/daughter” try thinking “what if this happened to me.” Because that is what we think…
I’m not particularly attractive, but I “get away with” not wearing makeup by not giving a flying fuck.
Why are they in two different states and why are you not being an adult and fixing that?
I unironically love this pedantic comment.
I know. Recasting male lead films with women isn’t quite the same thing as writing some good and compelling roles for women.
I’m here for it, but. Can we just let ladies have their own awesome franchise tho.
