One of the only things that has me excited about this election is voting for Markey, against JKIII. Markey gave the best speech at the 2017 women’s march in Boston and has always been one of the least appreciated MA politicians. If you’re from MA, vote tomorrow in person if you haven’t dropped your ballot off already!!

Kennedy could’ve challenged conservative Mass. Governor Baker in 2018. Instead, he waited 2 years to challenge progressive Senator Markey? I don’t get why he did this. If you’re running as a progressive, wouldn’t it be better to dislodge a Republican governor than a progressive Democratic Senator?

It’s so hard to look at the ongoing horror of this time and think one day things will be better. If Trump and the fascists were to magically disappear right now, the destruction they’ve wrought will take many years repair.

As others above have mentioned, the catering staff and other workers didn’t have as much choice. I have sympathy for people working paycheck to paycheck. I agree that the social attenders and especially the hostess were being willfully stupid.

I love how the first line tries to make it sound like an innocent mistake:
