Yep! The casting was so good. Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman are my British mum and dad. Alan will always be the dude from “Truly, Madly, Deeply” for me so the betrayal hit hard. How dare he hurt our mum like that?!

This is one of my favourite scenes in a movie ever. No dialogue, nothing is spelt out for you, but you can absolutely feel her devestation and the need to cover it up because she “can’t” make a scene.
