This is a scam. 

The weight of the panels you would need to lug around would limit your range enough so that you could just walk back to camp, or even just yell at the people back at camp to come pick you up. 

The weight penalty would be massive. This is not a good idea for a jet ski or UTV where low weight is one of the main priorities.

I think the texture is akin to apricot jam. Speaking of which, though, its almost stone fruit season so you might be able to pick up some varieties cheap at the farmers market and jam away. 

They are hard to come by even at a farmer’s market, unfortunately, since they travel so so poorly. It seems like every house in my old pre-war neighborhood has a tree, though. We always felt bad about letting them go to waste, this is the first year we have managed to do anything about it.

Living in SoCal you can grow basically every jamable thing in your backyard. I just made an obscene amount of rhubarb/loquat jam since you really cant do anything else with loquats before they go bad and our rhubarb grows like The Blob. It came out really really good.
