It still looks unfortunately cheap. Holmes deserves a good AAA game, but I have my doubts this will make it beyond the hundreds of 6.xx-7.xx/10 "meh" games that constantly pour out these days.

A lot of the Naruto games have done similar things on the 360 and PS3 — it's not as awesome as one would hope.
It's people! Soylent Green is people!
They're not even switching out the psychic Pokemon dude this time?? *SIGH*
Hey-o!
Dirjel may have been referring to the Amazon affiliate link, but I agree they probably thought that this was a sponsored news post for some reason.
Those are pretty good graphics for a video game/anime.
It's more like ESO should be a one-time purchase instead of a subscription.
I didn't know there was so much controversy about this. I didn't bat an eye when the rumours started, nor did I when they were corrected. Rumours are the most exciting part about being a gamer and I don't think you should have to defend your posting of them when you handled the updates as well as anyone could ever…
This isn't that unusual at all. The US Army had a "booth" of sorts at E3 2012 with COD and Battlefield games that you could play while they tried to recruit you.
I agree that there are things game developers are responsible for considering, if you read my initial comment again, though, you'll see that I'm talking about Prison Architect in this specific instance, not all games in perpetuity.
Prof. Pedercini is bellyaching about how an early version of a simple, fun sim game…
Yeah, and Mangum is such a silly handle for the flaming imbecile too! Oh, Kotaku.
Anything that can be used to make people click on a dancing butt gif is alright in my book.
Looking through this multifaceted lens I can see even more Lincolns who think they're wasting their time unless the recreational games they play are making them feel bad about their nation's social issues. Fascinating.
This is what I hope for every time a new Smash Bros. comes out, but executed in different ways perhaps where there would be modes through which you could choose 8-bit, 16-bit graphics or items that would switch some or all players into different appearances like that.
They could call it "Super Smash Bros. Generations"…
You mean "an activity or interest pursued for pleasure or relaxation and not as a main occupation"? I do indeed pursue video games for pleasure or relaxation. I also don't see it mentioned anywhere that I must wade through waist-deep metaphorical pools of meaning and hidden social significance for it to be…
Overwriting maps with custom textures to the game's ROM, I guess? It's very small, so you can't call it much more than a "proof of concept".
If the "Game of Life" bothers you that much, then I can understand how you have problems with indie sim games. I'd suggest you just sit in a corner and read Dr. Seuss books so as not to be incensed, but that hat on that cat looks rather phallic now doesn't it?
Yes, games have rules. Standing with your arms out perpendicularly after you've been tagged in freeze tag isn't evoking images of the Crucifixion, though. Projecting deep meaning onto things that exist in their own right for entertainment is just begging the question.
There is always a lot of room for improvement…
Yes, you're right. SimCity is precisely the same as running a real city in every respect and in no way about managing a city in a simplified game-like environment. http://goo.gl/xnU5V6
