I haven't seen all the films that were nominated yet, but I did see "Whiplash" and am 110% convinced that J.K. Simmons deserves every award he has/will get for this one.

I've seen someone describe his performance as similar to R. Lee Ermey's in "Full Metal Jacket", but that's only half of it. It's the quiet scenes

"Whiplash" was mesmerizing. I haven't wanted to stand up and cheer at a movie since "Diggstown" in the '90s.

That word you keep using... I do not think it means what you think it means. The "showers" they referred to are public events, when the sky blackens. It's even linked so there's no ambiguity. Unless you know something I don't know?

Former 3DO launch owner, current PS4 owner here.. can confirm. =D

Did you watch the film? The building of the supertrain and the world freezing over were two entirely separate things. There's even a sequence with a school teacher showing a "I told you so! Everyone thought i was crazy but look at me now!!" video praising the creation of the train. I'm not saying it makes sense,

It's been a while since I saw it (and I thought it was a bit of a hot mess, too)... but I'll take a crack at your question. I think what they were going for in terms of population numbers and fake rebellions, is the clear separation from head and foot. If any of the rich people got involved in the killing of the

bahahahhaa I literally used the exact same "nightmare fuel" description in my post before coming across yours! Yes!!!

At 1:00 it looks like a child zombie! Awesome!! The babies in Dead Space 2 were pure nightmare fuel... kids are creepy already, I'm glad they put this in.

Of Mice and Mars?

I used to love the arcade skiing game. Great workout. I'd be all about dropping some cash in an arcade to virtually ski the alps realistically.

This bothers me too. It's not like they don't have time to talk, right? The other thing that bothers me (and I don't really know why) is the shaving, or not shaving. Seriously, Abraham has a perfectly shaved handlebar and Rosita has smooth legs? Abraham's hair looks like it's a damn helmet with hair products in

...sounds like... a bad Tripp. Really, no one?

I love the Infamous series.. the first one was the game that sold me a PS3. Hoping this is just a product of YouTube and pre-release video. It feels completely disjointed, like a running game commentary is added on top of something already recorded. Not sure why this sticks out so much... but man is it noticeable

I was thinking more... Christopher Walken, as Ellie. And also Joel.

I'm so with you on this. His latest album, "A Song Across Wires" is also a fantastic bedtime listen. There's an extended cut with all of the tracks on that album seamlessly mixed from one to the next. "This Binary Universe" is an older go-to of mine as well.

You might enjoy Emancipator - some really beautiful and

Haha it actually says "2 Grils". I thought it was 2Grills at first - like... a bunch of bling and one cup.

***in a surprise twist ending, I refreshed my browser. I thought you were debating me by calling me "Awesome Guy You Know". I didn't know what the hell was happening. Carry on.

"Following" was excellent. I'd like to throw "Memento" out there for films that change completely after finishing them the first time.

I'm not out to troll you, seriously. I just don't think I'm on the same page as you on this one. "The Usual Suspects" is a brilliant film, and the ending works because Verbal is effectively spinning the narrative the entire time, and isn't revealed until he leaves. "The Sixth Sense" created a reputation for M.
