Because it implies personal responsibility for your achievements in life, and that hurts people’s feelings.
Why is meritocracy a dirty word?
Yeah. Someone should get on the phone and tell the Honda engineers they don’t know what they are doing. Ok, you first.
Faraday is like the cheater in class that causes the teacher to inspect everybody’s work in search of cheating.
You mean a gas guzzler tax? We already have one of those. :-)
You do understand that high oil prices hurt the United states and greatly benefit almost all of our enemies.
1st Gear: Haven’t there been multiple articles on this website that the 54 mpg target was impossible to achieve and that the CAFE standards were a farce anyways?? I could be horribly wrong but iirc there were a few around this.
It’s not. It’s an established matter of US law that citizens are entitled to avoid the police in any manner they like that doesn’t involve breaking a specific law or violating a lawful order from an officer (for example you can’t destroy documents the law says you have to keep and you do generally have to stop if…
I’m constantly amazed at bad internet lawyering. On what basis do you, random internet person, declare their business model “illegal”? Have you approached federal prosecutors with your damning evidence of their illegal business model?
At this point, I’m just convinced Felton is a shill for big taxi or lyft. That mixed with the fact that Lyft ads show up on pages whenever he shits on Uber. This is good Organic Marketing.
What part of “it’s not a taxi you hail” do people not understand?
Not a fan of Uber’s business practices, but I’m also curious if sting operations, burner phones, impounding regular joes’ cars, undercover cops is the best use of a city’s resources. It sounds to me like much of this is designed to keep cab companies and lobbyists happy using taxpayer dollars, while coming down hard…
Lyft is a paid advertiser on the site. And Lyft hasn’t gotten on their bad side by the CEO supporting the president, something that seems to be the mark of death as far as these sites are concerned. For instance Tesla could do no wrong until Musk supported Trump and now they can do no right.
Because their CEO supported Hillary.
No Jalopnik. Just no. If they were investigating uber, they should not be using their services or reaching out to them in a non official capacity. That would be a blatant conflict of interest.
Lyft has run ads on Giz/Gawker media on numerous occasions. Take that as you will.
Stopped caring about the fate of uber after the 200th headline. More hooning gt3's, racing world updates, and fun pieces please.
Nothing written supports the claim the title of this post makes except, “Eliminating drivers will “only increase Uber’s projected long-term net profit margin by as much as 5 percentage points,” an Uber worker told The Information.”
So an anonymous source says it won’t help long term profits. But then you immediately…
Free market. You no likey your job? Quit. Find another one. Some of the crap you end up dealing with because of union bullying is ridiculous on the employer end. Want to set standard cost? You know how much the materials cost and what your labor rate is, but how long does it take to actually perform each step?…
