I would say part of it is that with principal photography being completed a year ago that to try to cast a new actor, rebuild the sets, and bring back the other actors who have moved on to other projects would be impossible or at least cost-prohibitive.

This movie is gonna be released to HBO Max in the dead of January with zero fanfare, then pulled after a week.

People think theres a cover up or conspiracy because the guy got suspended but after reading the convo.. dude is either bad at his job and got tricked by a chatbot or he needs to touch grass and converse with actual people because that was very clearly not a sentient being.

So far, digging through things this looks like one persons fantasy rather than anything real.  I’d love if that wasn’t the case, but so far everything put forward in support of this idea has an awful lot of red flags.
