The thing that feels magical is that the upscaling with DLSS from, say, 1080p to 4k is often indistinguishable from actual 4k rendering to the untrained eye.

That depends on the type of fine contemplated and the individual company. But, yes, I generally agree with what you’re saying regarding large companies. My argument is that regulatory fines are often too small to deter the abuses that in some cases class action can cause a change in behavior regulations as they stand

They do serve an important regulatory function in states/industries/sectors without adequate regulation. Just because a company only makes a buck or two extra on every illegal or otherwise affected transaction doesn’t mean that the company shouldn’t have to face the consequences and be punished or otherwise disgorge

Might have a claim against Google, but I’d wager the claims against id and Bungie get tossed because they weren’t the ones really making the guarantee. The complaint also says Bungie had to disclose or correct the idea that Destiny 2 would be in 4k rather than upscaled from 1080p but the complaint also says Bungie

Do the bands usually work for video games? I know several people who use them and they told me the bands only work for motion sickness from actual motion-induced nausea like car sickness but not VR- or FOV-induced motion sickness.

Just give me Control 2!

So long, Stephen! I look forward to seeing what you do next!

Indeed, So it’s crazy they apparently took steps to actually recreate the character using Haugen’s work rather than just come up with an equally lame generic character.

I agree that small scope games can be great. It’s just that Gollum has real problems as a game protagonist during his stay under the Misty Mountains.

That seems really limited in scope. His primary overarching and all-consuming desire is fulfilled; killing goblins and catching fish are just chores he does in between staring at the One Ring.

I could see Gollum-centric parts of a larger game, particularly of what he’s up to between The Hobbit and LOTR. But a game in which he just eats raw fish and strangles random goblins seems limited. I mean, he already has everything he ever wants because he is so consumed with the Ring. What’s his motivation to do

Pretty sure it was all Elven territory.

That’s what I thought, but opinions differed as to how big. 10 feet tall? 7 feet tall? 15 feet tall?

I recall arguments about how big the weird lady is and whether she is even big at all. Does the demo clear that up?

Pretty sure in TX they measure it in “liters” not “litres.” :)

I didn’t find it that buggy at all.

I’d play it.

“GameSir” does not strike me as a reputable brand.

The pool of boons is neither fixed nor small though.

Hades is the best game of 2020 bar none. It's better than any other roguelike I've played. It's both utterly accessible and meaningfully difficult should you want it to be. Progress feels earned and not at all grindy. Every run is fun and there's are a lot of rapidly-unlocked gameplay-altering options. I have a fairly
