The movie came out in 1991, not 1931. And this is an article on a site that tore apart Rudyard Kipling as a racist imperialist based on a completely wrong headed interpretation of his work.. They’ve never had an issue holding older work to modern standards in the past.
It's intensely smart under the dumb, though. Literally one of the smartest narratives of the last gen, dealing with some pretty heavy themes that most games don't really get into. The dick jokes kinda took away from the narrative, though.
