I would say the biggest advantage of this is that they can place F22s where they are least expected.

From my reading of the article, it seems the F22 is intended to be used as a force multiplier supplemental to more standard fighters already in the area.

Wherever Airspace needs to be cleared for the B52s and A10s, you can get raptors there quickly. I like this.
