I get your point but there is no regional shortage either. It’s local only. It’s just that they can’t supply 10,000 gallons a day to a single station, not enough trucks. A station might only get one delivery a week or every 3 days. If some yahoos buy all their gas in the interim then they are just out.

I know it has been kind of strange (so far) that Toyota hasn’t been a bigger player in electric cars, specially because the Prius was such a hot item for them. My guess has always been that they didn’t want to go first.

First Gear. I own a Toyota from the sudden acceleration era. The story I got was floor mats. Toyotas come from the factory with floor mats (carpeted). Some dealers were installing another set of floor mats (rubber) right on top of the fabric ones. I had a recall where they made sure my van had only one floor mat
