TLDR: Cost and Capability.
TLDR: Cost and Capability.
Youtubers are already salivating for the day when they will be able to get a wrecked one from Copart to film their rebuild series. Shouldn’t take long for a supercar bro or new balance dad to turn off traction control and stuff it into a tree or ditch.
Sounds like Ford just needs to work on the tactile feedback of the shifter with stronger detents. I have driven a Ram 1500 and WL Grand Cherokee with the rotary shifter and it was fine. I could put it in reverse to back up a trailer without looking at the shifter and not overshoot. 2 clicks from drive to reverse were…
Well our families newest car was the most expensive, so I would say the $47K we spent is that number. The next closest was $32k. I look at more expensive cars, but don’t think I could actually pull the trigger.
Seriously, most people I know who I would consider at least competent drivers get scared riding in my car which does 0-60 in around 4 seconds with a perfect launch (rwd) probably closer to 5 in actual driving. Your average driver (aka: those not on an automotive website) really shouldn’t be trusted with much more than…
I would say the results are more of current Ram vehicles are only minorly updated and most of the manufacturing woes have been worked out, where as dodge put their badge on the dumpster fire Hornet (Alfa Romeo Tonale) which has had a bunch of problems from the get go bringing down the score.
Poorly executed electronic door releases strike again. At least on my one car with electronic releases the interior emergency release is well marked and there is an exterior key lock on the hatch. So if I ended up in this persons situation I could open the hatch with the key and crawl through the car.
Maybe you are doing it wrong, but I know where every sensor on every light is on my way to and from work. The first one from my house people always pull way past the line and then they sit forever waiting for the light to change. I come to the light and plop my car in the right spot (front tire just over the line) and…
Yeah, I had to see what they were all about and a big old nope from me. There are some great covers out there, but those 2 are not them.
Definitely a 2nd gen (hood scoop, front bumper, rear exhaust, and actual door handles are the easiest give away), and yes plenty of them still went full offroad at some point. The suspension update for gen 2 helped settle the car but give an idiot a wall of torque and no TC and it is still going to spin.
Don’t blame me, the last 2 new cars I bought were painted bright blue pearl and metallic red. The rest of my fleet includes the colors dark blue pearl, metallic green, bright solid red, and solid black. I like a nice green or blue car.
I haven’t looked at the CRV yet but it is likely loud because they have probably chosen to go the 1 speaker route. You have to meet minimum noise at measured distances at the front and rear of the vehicle depending on drive or reverse. You can do a front and rear 2 speaker system and the rear speaker doesn’t have to…
Never had a camera ticket so can’t comment on that. The last times I have been pulled over I went with the honesty is the best policy (but don’t divulge actual speeds) basically the conversation was Cop: do you know why I pulled you over? Me: I was probably driving faster than I should have (alternate: I was driving…
I remember that at the time it was a badge of honor if you owned a ZR1 or gen 4 Viper and could drive it into the 10's unmodified. Perfect DA, a well prepped track, and some clutch abuse could net you the magic high 10 second time slip.
I have actually contemplated and looked at those, but with no dealer remotely close to me it is a no go. The Phev would be great though, would cover most of my round trip commute in electric. I would just have to do the lease loophole to try and get the $7500 credit.
WooHoo, Yippie, Hooray.....Oh wait, don’t care too expensive for most of us. Bring something in the Audi S4, BMW M340i price and I would actually be excited and would visit a dealer.
Yep, it was all about giving a little more power and meeting emissions targets. Remember kids fuel economy is not emissions, they can be related but not the same. I am sure because of all the fancy control strategies and aggressive EGR being implemented in the turbo 6 that the actual tailpipe number for co2 and nox are…
Yep, we got lucky on my wife’s car that we bought in 2022 with 1.99% rate. We have enough money to pay it off right now, but the bank is still paying almost 5% on our savings account so it would be stupid to.
$750 a month, but it was 48 month loan. Can’t remember the exact interest rate, want to say around 4-5%. Ended up paying the car off in just over 3 years with some lump sum final payments. Still have the car.
A reliable reasonably priced used car that you hold on to for a while will cost less per mile than any ride share service could hope to.
