Sorry man. Every time I walk back to my bike I am just hoping it's not on its side for one reason or another.

Chris Harris had the same impressions over on Pistonheads. Kind of a bummer.
Lots of opinions. I'd say 250. They're a blast still and much more forgiving.
And the suspension, and the transmission, and the wheels.
Huh? I don't think a production non-street legal car can just become street legal by changing the tires? Also, you'd have to put the Stang on street tires to compare the times to the Camaro...
You have to AGREE to the terms of that agreement before you'd have a fine. Jalopnik doesn't do that.
I think we all need a 2003 beetle in our lives...to put into a crusher or fill with C4.
It does seem very 1980s bias ply tires, doesn't it? Can't think of any other reason for them though.
Other than being wet tires? Or are you asking how they function as wet tires? Cuz I don't know the latter.
As I mentioned to the OP. Then why are you buying a Turbo? Buy a 911S and save 50k over the Turbo. 400hp is still plenty.
Sure. Then why not just buy a 911S and save an additional 50k off of the base Turbo model? It's only a bit less insane and it's a 33% discount now.
Then why are you spending 150k on a car?
Interesting point with the Ferrari aspect.
That's not gonna feel very good...
Exactly. No need to spend tens of thousands on a drag car. Heck, I ran my old Buick Lesabre on the 1/8th mile a few times for kicks.
Do you have a strip anywhere near you? My drag racing budget consists of about $300 - 400 a year. This pays for about 20-30 nights at the strip. Don't need a true drag car (in my case it's a bike) to have a blast at the track.
It really does make you appreciate bikes. My best on my 675 is 11.2X @ 122, which costs $5k and can ride back home after. Though like Jason said, the dragsters are detuned. I'd imagine with that setup and full power it'd be in the 9s for sure.
Thanks for writing this out. I thought everyone knew this.
