Just addressing the points about the cops. You'd be surprised how many times a cop is trying to get to a call that isn't technically an emergency. I've been on several ride alongs where it made sense given the situation, even though you look like a dick to traffic.

Off the top of my head (which I'm sure you know as well):

First of all, I really enjoy the new format. Just a suggestion though, personally, I'd rather not see the score on the top of the article and in the side panel. I'd rather see that at the end of the article. If everyone else likes it that way it's not the end of the world for me, just thought I'd throw in my .02
