What people seem to be struggling with is that DPI is ALWAYS a subjective call. The ref has to decide whether the receiver had a chance to make a catch that was interfered with by a defender. Just grasping him isn't enough if the ball isn't catchable. And I'm sorry, I don't know what planet you have to live on to

Boxing and MMA will forever be a mess, and it's all thanks to the state-by-state athletic commission system. Because you have to convince every separate commission to adopt any changes, it makes it impossible to change anything without years of arguing about it. And because nearly every state is going broke, they have

I don't know if it's required so much as it's lawsuit avoidance. Those peanut allergies are serious business. And as some people in this post are attesting, it's not necessarily a widely known thing that asian cooking uses peanut oil.

I think he's making a joke.

Like, an entire lifetime of eating at restaurants and I've never seen a peanut allergy warning at any such place. Although the local Chinese takeout doesn't shoot for accuracy, I reckon.

REALLY? I had no idea.

I totally don't understand the peanut oil thing.

The local government reporter for one of the Atlanta TV stations called this, "political suicide." Cobb County has a heavy Tea Party vote and the people voting these tax raises in are virtually guaranteeing they will be voted out at earliest.

That's a terrible thing to hear. I am sorry for your loss

I thought that too but then I remembered he went to BYU and was LDS. Maybe he just had a defect.

I know they're technically co-coordinators, but Withers was the guy Urban hired. I've gotten the feeling for a while that keeping Fickell on payroll was just part of the deal. I'm sure he has a hand in things, but I'd be willing to bet the "co-coordinator" title is just to justify his salary.

Florida State has been a great team for years now under Jimbo, but with a gaping hole at quarterback. Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel just weren't very good, and dragged the team down.

On the one hand, this is insane because Turner Field is fine. On the other hand. I understand building a baseball stadium closer to the people who actually go to the games. It's not like football where people will pretty much drive anywhere for once a week for a noon/4pm game. You're talking about relying on people

I'm numb to dipshits on the radio saying dumb things. Now that tea partiers have killed the ad revenue for news talk radio, all the numbskulls have stopped aping Rush Limbaugh and started doing HOT SPORTS TAKES on the radio instead. So just get used to this kind of bullshit until radio dies.

*Correction

Never heard "Penn State victim" used as a negative pejorative before. You're an awful person!

Hey don't worry guys! Regular season college basketball games will soon be here to save the day!

The 46 is directly responsible for the rise of the spread offense too. Colleges and high schools adopted it or some dumbed down version of it, and it basically crushed anyone who didn't have an overwhelming talent advantage. It forced teams to think of different ways to attack a defense, and led to the modern spread

Pretty much everyone says that who doesn't get every opinion spoonfed to them by the White Guys Yelling Sports Media Complex.
