Hmmm, here's an idea based on absolutely nothing but what if the observers ARE the First People and the reason we've found no trace of their civilization is because they're still with us jumping around through time?

Is anyone else having a problem with the visuals? The shaky camera work, especially at the house, knocks me out of that liminal state where I'm absorbed in the story. Oh and the house, too, is a problem. The set is so cheaply made that it looks like one from a stage play.

Vampires are soooo screwed.
