This is exactly the kind of place I would want to visit and spend money at, with a side benefit of avoiding totally unaware people who think they don’t have to abide by the rules the rest of polite society has agreed upon. You know, little things like looking up at your server, saying please and thank you, staying off

Fixed.

Miss me with that kind of “magic” please.

You made my morning.

I’m far from wealthy but I generally have no idea what day it is.

I forgot about those, I had one too! Mine wasn’t quite like this, it only had the hands and no digital readout.

I read several years back that F1 engineers were pissed that drivers were actually wearing the large sponsor’s watches in the cars as part of their agreement. They work their asses off to shave even a few grams here and there so it was a significant enough thing to warrant this printed version, which I think is just

Did you do this in some special art program? Are you an artist?

They should hit the Carl’s Jr drive-thru and call it a night.

“...we like using a noisy restaurant as an excuse to say absolutely nothing and eat a meal in peace.”

I still have an original QuickSilver brochure this company sent me as a kid. I also have a few other oddball brochures like the last edition Lagonda and another from a custom limo company that did everything from Jeep Grand Wagoneers to Maserati BiTurbos.

That sounds like a very solid choice. Classic. Well done man!

I guess that exhaust leak is pretty common. Congrats man, enjoy it!

If you ever get the chance to drive a Toyota version it’s like night and day. I call the LX 470 the W140 of SUVs.

LX 470 is the correct answer here. To paraphrase a popular saying, the Disco will get him to the mountains but the LX will also get him back home.

How long ago did you buy your Cruiser? I looked at most of them in town a few weeks back helping a buddy get one since he liked my LX so much. Ended up with a silver 2000 MY Cruiser, but second consideration was the black ‘06 or ‘07 that Jordan motors had.

I literally just wrote the same thing before I saw your comment. LX 470 is the best bargain out there for a massively capable 4x4. Like most people I wanted the Toyota but for the savings and upgrades you get for less money I was sold.

Totally in agreement on this. LX 470 (100-series) can be had in this price range as they command slightly less than their Toyota LC brothers. I picked up an ‘04 w 250k miles for $10k two summers ago and still looks and runs like a new vehicle.

The Land Cruiser gets worse fuel economy on longer trips? That doesn’t add up. My LX470 (sister rig to this Toyota) gets 12mpg in town and up to 17mpg on the open road. I get that it might be louder, so sell it and buy an LX like mine as they cost less than the Land Cruiser but have far more sound deadening, thicker

To go for pup?
